Good Morning Everyone!!!
A 32ºF start to the day with light snow falling presently 34ºF with continued snow; all uplifted spillover Lake Effect snow from Lake Ontario. The ground is covered; hiding all the frozen rain from yesterday. This snow should end later today as a cold front moves in. The anticipated Monday-Tuesday storm will start as snow and end as rain.

Midweek is unsettled as several “cooler” waves move through; probable snow showers. I may see a couple of inches in total accumulation.
“… Pattern change for weather winter no winter the guessers are up in the air best guess wait and see if it gets cold again for any length of time in the east”- Buppies The “numbers” are starting to reflect a cool down late January/early February, but nothing is set in stone. The weather models are still having difficulties with this weather pattern. Wishcasting and real time observation seem to be the SOP for the ProMets.
“…. hope your icy conditions recede. Drive careful to avoid the idiots.”- Kyle There was very little traffic roadside yesterday. When I see a highway department sander I know it’s bad; the town saves money not sanding here. The sander was out this AM due to icing. = I am staying put and try to conserve energy. I probably will run the box blade with scarifiers down to address the frozen driveway.
“… I'm gonna feel this tomorrow.”- Don Like lemmings “taking the swim”, and salmon’s spawning runs some people are hardwired to maintain behavior.

. I hope your body forgives you.
“… Didn’t work”- David I believe that most attempts at controlling one animal with the introduction of another results in unanticipated consequences. Usually things get worse for other species.
“…. Glad you're retraining Brogen to stop his knee blocks, Jay. Until he's completely broken of them, though, can you try to land on him to break your fall?”- RNG That’s the plan as I roll him over…. 2 can play that game.

I suspect that he was rarely walked on a leash; just dumped in the family’s fenced in yard. He’s getting there.
“… cross bred with wolves or big dogs. Now they run in packs and they are not to be trusted. A coyote never use to run in packs but the cross breeding changed that.”- gap. I saw a couple of TV specials on “coydogs” and as I understand things colds in the NE are genetically related to wolves. And I agree about the packing. Their howls are different too- they start off howling like a wolf and end sounding yipping like a coyote. I love to hear them, but knowing that they are near is cause for some concern.
My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.
