Good morning. 73 now and heading to near 90 again. Gonna be another warm one. Gonna pack plenty of fluids for the trip to Lima. Heading out shortly to get there in time for practice. Gonna be a long day.

Hope everyone that was ailing is healing.

Have a safe and good day.

BTW, if anyone is interested, the AFT race from Lima is free on FansChoice.tv. Most consider Lima to be the best half mile in the series.

Good Morning!!!! 62F @ 5:15AM. Abundant sunshine. High near 90F. Winds SSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Finished the work on the center stand yesterday, and got the exhaust system sorted out as well. Now just waiting on coils, come on, DHL, get a move on!

As we approach the Forth of July, the news is full of warnings about fireworks and how dry things are. Yet two local towns continue to sell "safe and sane" fireworks, and just a few weeks ago a sizeable fire was caused by kids playing with sparklers. The local District Attorney has threatened to prosecute violators to the fullest extent of the law if they remove fireworks from those two jurisdictions, but that won't stop people, even though just possession will get you a ticket and maybe even jail time. Hope it does some good.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

Riptides, maybe we should rename you the Ripper, going after all those sheds, look out boys, our days are numbered!

got a nice pic of my oldest brother using my old boat, a like new Scout 16 footer, at the very top of Lake Michigan, where they have a family cabin.
Nice to see him having fun, wife labeled the pic Scoutmaster. When I could no longer use it locally, too hard on my neck in local river, too choppy, I gave it to my oldest brother and his family to use. They had a falling apart 30 year old runabout and the timing was perfect. And they send me pics of my very beloved old boat, being used by different female members. The Girl Scouts...

time to go pick tomatoes before it gets too hot.

Good morning to all! Low of 45 this morning, nice and cool. Going up to near 90 w/ a chance of t-storms.

Got the whole house fan on right now to get that cool air inside. After a couple of hours with the fan on, we'll close the windows and the house will maintain that cool air for the rest of the day. Really saves $$ not having to turn on the a/c.

It has now become "drought like" here, last measurable rain was about 3 weeks ago. The weather guessers are now predicting an "early monsoon season", but seems like the storms are either going east or west of here.

I guess there is still enough moisture in the ground because the grass needs to get cut again and the weeds need a substantial beat down (weed wacker needs a long walk!). That will probably be the whole agenda for the weekend. Cean up some broken /down branches from some strong winds a couple days ago. There's just a few little ones down.

Maybe some grill time today, definitely won't be a veggie burgers event.... Maybe some chicken....oh, and some of that pork roll! :licking::thumbsup:

Drew, try to stay out of that heat...that goes for most of you guys back East...way too much humidity and heat index!

Jay, enjoy your road trips... Sounds like they have been a lot of fun!

Randy, continue healing ...FAST!... The clock is ticking...you'll make it ...

David, thanks for posting those beautiful pics from AK. Enjoy your vacation!....then back to 'paradise'... Just think of that new tractor coming...

RIP, those recycled wood boards are high dollar...in demand out here. They could sell for as much as $4/ft.... The more beat up the better! It's the new 'design fashion' for interior decoration!

I heard on the local news this morning that Pheonix will have it's 5th day in a row with temps hitting 110 degrees! Way too hot! I definitely wouldn't want to live there.

Everyone have a great weekend! Prayers sent out!

Good morning! 75-95˚ today. ended up having to replace the pump in the windshield washer, no leaks this morning. $30 repair and the satisfaction of not having to pay the mechanic $75 an hour.

Heading to the garden to grab some seat time and tomatoes and eggplants and okra and cucumbers and peppers.

Eric the veggies are all growing in MUSHROOM compost - ahhhh. You are on to something. Hope we find the big lizard today, small pets are in danger.

gonna be a hot one again, 75 going to 95 today. I hid in the a/c mostly yesterday afternoon.
plans are to deliver the last of the baby potatoes to friends this morning, then back to putter.

Since there's a little a/c unit in there, might work in the wood shop this afternoon. I can't get a belt pulley off my
band saw to replace the broken belt, might work on that some more. When you loosen everything and nothing moves,
I just look at it and say talk to me, and it doesn't....

I'd like to start a thread where everyone reports in how many hours they got on a mower/implement belt before it breaks.
I'd love to study that, bet misalignment of pulleys on inexpensive decks are a big cause.
Buppies, how long did that z turn belt last, mower or drive belt?

drinking hot coffee and trying not to sweat. Summer time.
Eric, they say Europe is on fire, record heat wave. Need to find a cool pub, right?

Lots of belts get ruined by bad bearings locking up.

They should place signs, going and coming, about the illegality of fireworks.... Also, ask the fireworks stands to just stop this year. Put a detail of cameras recording who's vehicle shows up and buys them, what they buy... Then make sure to escort them out of the area.... But if it's not fireworks, it will be something else. Out here we have homeless who light fires irresponsibly.

Need to go to my Deere dealer and get some filters.

The lizard made the news last night. The reptile owner says the biggest thing he eats is mice. So, an organic beneficial. :)

That’s what the owner would say so he’s not responsible for missing pets and children!
YouTube shows one eating a rabbit.

76 this morning headed to 91. Heat index at 87 and headed to 102. Hey summer in Kentucky finally showed up.
Had bad gateway message yesterday also.
Put about 20 acres of hay on ground yesterday. Have about 5 more to cut this morning then run the tedder around the fields. Hopefully be able to bale tomorrow. Chickens leave tomorrow and Monday also. Then wash down for a clean out.

Drew. That storm system that hit the dock also produced another ef-1 tornado near Paducah and a micro burst. It was a rough storm day.

Good luck getting all that hay done.
