10F here and snowing. We got about an inch on top of the inch I didn't bother to do anything with over the weekend.

I certainly hope you are right in your predictions for us. We need some serious cloud-bursts to put our lakes back at normal levels. I will love having rain if it comes. This morning it is hovering around freezing and very dry. To look outside here, you only see brown and dry. We have our fingers crossed that grassfires aren't in our future. My house is protected, but nobody wants to have to deal with smoke and the possible burning of our forest. I thank you for your continued good thoughts and support of our significant weather change.:thumbsup:

Big time cold coming next week and the week after maybe colder then before with storms and possibly good size snow again for eastern seaboard. Hopefully some moisture will come your way in Texas. After mid March cold pattern relaxes but big bad t-storms will follow

I'm paying good attention to you two, after all I have to pick out what clothes to take with me headed South the first week in April.
Layers, I know...
big bad thunderstorms, hmmm, more amped up wet weather I guess for us. Not fun to drive in.
Good thing I bought a NOAA radio for the rv. Boy, those plains and tornadoes make me nervous as can be;
coming right thru them in June and July...

Actually, this reminds me. both, not one of my two outdoor thermometers stopped working almost at the same time.
That stretch of seriously cold weather here may have done in the batteries. Well, hoping that's it. So need to replace the batteries, which
I think I used LiIon rechargeables last time. It's fun to see the difference in them between the sun and shady side of the house.

7 inches of new snow overnight....was 12 degrees this morning but is now 38 degrees...did four driveways for my neighbors this morning. Nice to be a retired guy and have the time to fritter away....

Buppies; I was counting on those rain storms this coming Sunday!

We need the rain desperately, and can forego any more cold, ice or snow for several more years! Thanks for looking out for us. I still think you get it right a LOT more often than any of the weather guessers around here!

Same here. Put my JD snowblower in my truck, went and did a couple neighbor's. My neighbor's can be a couple miles away here. Really tired, by the time I did our place, wife's shop, 3 neighbor's, and really struggling with some deep drifts, shoveling a bunch, I am beat. Left the house at 8 am, got back after 4. Had to chop ice out for the sliding door on the goat shed. 2 aleve, a a couple beers should help that! A hot shower and another cold beer are about right!!

They might move east of you all hope I'm wrong though. Cold and storms starting next week with snow may last thru 15 of March or so. Really worried about tornados this spring for you all in Texas. This warm spell this week for us in east will end with possible damaging winds and t-storms before front passes thru.

31 degrees here and the forecast calls for warmer temps later today...have to take about 400 of my old books to the local library to donate this afternoon, then go grocery shopping later. My favorite cat is hiding (or so he thinks) behind my laptop as I compose this, he pops out to attack the mouse now and then...gonna go fix breakfast tacos now....catch everybody later on.

After coffee and TBN, I'm making split pea with ham soup in the crockpot, then out to clear the driveway.

Hopefully will hit past rush hour.
and then a warmup.

are we in for another wet year in the East?
seems to be just one wave of precip after another coming through here so far.
well, all the reservoirs in upstate NY are hopefully nice and full.

11 degrees this morning and heading toward the mid 30's today. We ended with slightly over 12" of snow and could get 1 - 4 inches today Spring is getting closer!

Daugen...here in mid-Michigan we are having one of the snowiest winters in decades...I tell people that one of the benefits will be the contribution to groundwater once the snow melts. Yes, a lot of rainfall can be a problem, but to me, a serious drought is a much worse problem. I read an article in the local news on Sunday where President Obama said the nation must rethink it's use of water because of the record setting drought in California.
