Good morning!!!!

Wife ordered one of those wi-fi pet cameras last week, and it arrived yesterday. She has it in the kitchen for now, where she can see there, into the living room, and down the stairs. We're thinking of mounting it on the wall were it could also see down the hallway and into the sunroom. Through the phone app, you can pan side-to-side or up-and-down, and even zoom in. We'd talked about this a few times, but were both skeptical about having the potential for someone hacking in and being able to see around the inside of our home. She has a dog training client who has one, and they apparently alleviated her fears over that. I'm still kind of on the fence, though, even as I'm sitting here at my desk at work looking at my phone and watching the dogs playing in the kitchen while she is at the table paying bills. Still not sure if I like this or not.

The real danger is not someone accessing your camera and watching inside your home. The real danger is for you to see that camera outside your home, you either have to have a public IP and ports forwarded, or the camera connects to a server somewhere and your app uses the camera's connection to that server to get to your camera. If the camera is on the home network with all the rest of your devices, someone could access the camera and use it as jumping point to other devices in your home (like the laptop you use to do your banking on). I have Foscam IP camera that connects to server in China. Once I discovered this, I unplugged the camera.

The other way to handle it is to isolate your camera on a separate network from the rest of your devices (or at least separate from your computers you use for banking and such). There are many options on how to do this and depends on your network.

If the Sprinter based motorhomes are still too big for you, Drew, Sportmobile is making versions using Mercedes and Ford Transit chassis...

The problem with the Class B motor homes is the ones with a dry bath are far and few between.

My friend's widow has her Transit based m'home now, and she told me it also has a shower. Don't know what a dry bath is; I always thought you had to get wet to get clean.:confused2::laughing:

Yeah, but mom always liked you best!

But .... we both had to "wash up" outside the house after playin' in the mud.

She also told me "she liked you best". Who knew?

Our shipment of Nexan aluminum decking arrived this morning, need to go check the damaged closely to see if we any of it replaced. Already talked to factory, made sure it was noted on delivery paperwork, they are super nice (almost 1700lbs total, 29 cartons). We are excited to get going on project (wishing the smoke would go away from the fires)..

Finished the decking inspection this morning, only 1 of the actual deck 'boards' damaged and only on one end. Since that 24' board is going to be cut into 4' lengths for steps, we offered to let them send us a replacement 4' piece instead of the whole 24'. We'll see what they say. Our daughter that lives with us along with her daughter, said, what are we going to do for steps while we are working on that (we let the dog in and out that door often, since her overhead cable run is right outside). we'll figure it out was my response. Likely put some temp steps in for the short term.

RNG, wet bath means you shower in same area as toilet and sink and have to clean up the entire area when done. Dry bath/shower means you have a shower area with a curtain or solid door and toilet area stays dry.
The one I am looking at is called a B+

shower just went by, back to blue sky but severe thunderstorm warning just raised. Then from tomorrow on, a dry period returns.
