Good evening all, still helping with move won't be home for a few days yet. 90+ in Wichita today. Just got the internet up and running. As you can guess plenty of work left to do house was empty for a while :(

Morning Guys. Fifty degrees here at first robin chirp. Going to be a nice day and on through the weekend. A lot of haying going on around me. Not me though. My tractor hasn't arrived yet and I'm straight out at work closing down lanes on I-89 so we can rehab some bridges. Good thing that tractor comes with lights, otherwise it will sit all week until fall.

Coffee is brewing. 52 degrees this morning with clouds. Heading to 84 with mostly sun. Need to go to Harbor Freight for some stuff. That means a good reason to visit my mother. She lives near one of their stores.
Good Morning All.

59 going to 81
6:00

So I think in fixing the "white space" they may have broken the phone app. Because I had to hunt for this thread. But I found you all :)

Today I am meeting the soil conservation folks for a one year meeting on my fields I am renovating. So excited. Lots of mowing planned for this weekend and the husband is coming out to "use" the chiansaw and cut up some trees that came down in the fields last month. Also, pulling some T-post and maybe looking at a great deal on haying equipment :D

David, loosing your eggs are hard. I know there is something said for hatching your own but buying peepers is the way to go. Working in poultry research, if we didn't have to hatch we didn't because even if you do everything right you can still not get all or even some.

Oh and I always have beer on tap for those that stop by, frosty glasses in the freezer. Tapped the keg last week, it is our summer keg. Nice light (not lite) American style lager, I voted for a hefiweisen and was overruled. Just so you know we rotate our selection by season. Reds are fall, and this winter the tower is being changed to accommodate two taps for the making of black and tans (a 1/2 keg porter or stout is a bit much for our drinking tastes). Spring is a toss up, we sometimes try something new. cheers!

LTF,

I'll be right over! :licking::licking::thumbsup:

My personal #1 is Guinness (of course), but I LOVE Sam Adams Irish Red. I keep a cold 12 pack of Yuengling Black & Tan in the fridge at all times for myself and visitors. It is a danged fine & inexpensive beer...

My favorite kid from my HS Sunday School class starts at Annapolis June 28th... I might be in the 'hood sometime in the future...

So far I've got 4 keets up in the brooder now under the lamp. 2 I had to help out of their shells (one won't make it, sumthing's wrong, the other was simply too big and could not move to "zip" the lining). There are a couple more eggs with small cracks, so we are still in it to win it...

PS - Yesterday my newest fiacso was I tried to give my 2 horses their wormer... Harley (the paint) he was difficult but I got it done, Lolly on the other hand was Mare-from-h3!! !! Good grief! My horse lady neighbor is coming at 7 to assist me. I better go get grubbys on...

61 heading to 80 supposed to be lovely until Monday.

Today I'm going to indoctrinate a new guy at work, but the good news is he has a 5 acre horse ranch, a 'bota, and 2 huge belgians! I can't wait to meet his horses!

Be well all,
David

62 here just got the cats back in for chow and I can have my toast and coffee. Going to check over the latest Menards sale inserts to determine if the savings of stuff I normally buy is worth burning $6 worth of gas and taking an hour for the trip there and back is worthwhile. Used to be I was always so anxious to go out and shop but now I try to stay home as much as possible. Have to mow for about 2 hours later and then rake up grass to use as mulch on the garden plot, planted more tomatoes and peppers yesterday...have 36 tomato and 32 pepper sets in the ground this year. Bye to all, have a great Friday !!!

Hey Roy, that was a great pic you posted looks like you are very busy.

Looks like another beautiful day!
65 degrees currently, sunny and a high of 78 predicted.

My plans today is to do some shopping with the wifey, then finish chipping and brush cut the area I got those trees from...it's a bit wet from the morning dew right now.

MossflowerWoods, you're right...Black and Tan is some outstanding beer!! Try their Lager sometime too.

Sunny and warmer today, should see around 20C or 68F.
Of course they are calling for rain tonight.
MossflowerWoods, don't have horse but giving animals "stuff" can be interesting. Glad you got one horse dewormed.
Last night I got to hold 7 baby goats, 2-4 months old, while the wife gave then a shot, boy can those kids squirm.

Good morning everyone!! Feeding my daughter right now. Temp is 70 looking for a high of 89 today. I should get some seat time today. I have to take the tractor to town and move a few yards of dirt for a doctor.

Back to work tomorrow morning at 7.
Enjoy your day today everyone!!

79 degrees and sunny here at the moment .... supposed to go up to the mid 80's ....

I just woke up about 1/2 hour ago :ashamed: .... feel like someone beat me with a stick all night long ....

The ongoing water heater replacement project is becoming a real saga .... the one dielectric union on the cold water input line was so corroded when I tried to undo it that I almost twisted off a 45 degree copper elbow on the line .... I ended up just cutting the line to pull the old heater ....

Now it seems, for some reason or another, that particular line has a constant drip-drip-drip coming out of it (even after allowing it to drain for 1/2 a day) .... why this would be is a real mystery to me - since I have shut off the house water and opened other cold water faucets which are lower than that particular line ....

Add to that multiple trips to HD to get fittings that I forgot to get and it's become a real treat of a project ....

The upside (theoretically) is that now that I have the heater out, I can dive into the clogged condensate drain line for the furnace/ac unit ....

That promises to be another fun task ....

Meanwhile, all my good outside working weather is flying by ....

Mousefield,

Agreed, it can be crazy. We've been giving the 1-winged duck anti-biotics also :confused2:.

I did manage to get the Mare medicated this morning.
