wow we did have a good rain, inch and three quarters last night.it is a good think the garden was just tilled cause you are not going in there for a while.i just finished cutting the grass so we are good.its 64 now warming to 79.

Sun/cloud mix today with a chance of an afternoon shower. High of about 74F, yesterday it got up to 30C or 86F, a little warmer than they forecast.

Drinking coffee out on the porch. 62 degrees this morning with clouds. Heading to 82 with some sun. Things are to wet to cut lawn. We got over 3" yesterday. 2 slow moving storms did a direct hit on our place yesterday. Lot more rain than we normally get in a day. I am sure everything is going to start growing again. Going to lay back and enjoy some summer weather today.

73 here headed to 95. Got a little rain last evening.
I'm getting tired of the heat/humidity... I hope someday I adjust to working outside in this weather, my heat rashes are developing heat rashes... I think I drank well over 2 gallons of water yesterday...

I got the new temporary pasture finished, and then I managed to convince the horses to leave their play date at the neighbors and come home, that was a struggle let me tell you.

Today I am assisting the vicar in loading the moving truck so he, wife and baby can go back to seminary for his final year, and after that I have some large tree parts down at my big rental in town that the HOA is going to cite me because one of my neighbors is a serious complainer. Not shure when I'll get back home today.

I still need to mow at my house, plus the 2 acres of my rental out near Lake Anna... OH and I have another round of job interviews with a large company with 5 openings on their Federal Sales team next week.

07-28-2012 Currently 69 degrees. We were in a Severe Weather alert yesterday evening until 10:00pm. We only received 2 minutes of rainfall, but we got dime size Hail for about 5 minutes. That was weird, because I was in one of the sheds at the time and it had a metal roof. I didn't realize what was making the noise at first, because I was parking the tractor.

It's warm and going to get very hot in the afternoon. No rain in foreseeable future. The "Dog Days Of August" are here in July again. No use looking at the temp again till September it will just make things worse.

Today we, the VFD, will start to clean the cow field so we can use it for the annual fund raiser - fish fry next month - mowing, removal of 4 large dead oaks and trim other trees, and remove cow pies so we can set the tents up in a few weeks.

Last year 1200 people came to eat fish in 112 degree temperature! We had 8 water fans going under tents to make it feel a bit cooler.
There were no heat related injuries.

68 here now, partly cloudy and humid. High of 87 predicted, possible thunderstorms...

Laminated floor is almost done. The room we working in is pretty big (27 by 19), but there's a lot of trim to do too. The job is going OK, considering I've never done this before Worst thing is it's tough on my back (which isn't in good shape anyway) and knees (also not in good shape). An experienced person could have have this done in a day or two...maybe a little more for the detail work.
However, it is looking really good and I reckon we saved a thousand or more installing it ourselves.

Best wishes in regards to the completion of your new floor. Please be careful and try to reduce the stress on your Back and Knees. You certainly wouldn't want to jeopardize your future health. Just a thought. It was not my intention to tell you what to do. I included the previous warning, because I regard one's health as a vital issue.
