Wow. I'd get the lawyer working ASAP. I'd take all this discussion offline. I'd start closing accounts. I'd keep detailed records of expenses. I'd keep detailed records of where your living. I'd keep detailed records on your "ranch" visits (supporting the homestead). I'd write detailed records of every conversation with the wife, and family members.

The not working part (too busy) got to me. Sorry, not working, is NOT an option when your trying to build out your life. She sounds way far away from the goals you appear to have had when you started the farm.

if you want to post, consider the political section, Not for "cause", but for the closed nature of the sub-forum.

80's today, rain hit and miss. Rather odd, wet and warm summer for this area. We have not had the usually dry spell and water restrictions plus crazy heat this year.

53 right now and a high of 77 predicted...maybe a little rain.

Got another interview set up for Thursday and the position I had described several days ago should be making their decision today or tomorrow. Who knows, maybe I'll win the Powerball and forget all about working...

geez thank you Roy, you reminded me to buy one for tonight's drawing. Now I'm not supposed to gamble, but since I'm likely to give it all away anyway, I figure I could do some good with half a B.

Drew,

I forgive you & I still like you.
:D :D :D

David

you had better, none of them are/were personal injury or criminal attorneys, all business law.
Made for boring conversations over the dinner table for sure...
and I bet anything anywhere on this site is Goggle-able...
So we'll talk in code...:D

65 degrees going up to 77 today, likely rain later and thunderstorms tonight.
Had a good day picking in the garden yesterday, the hot peppers are beginning to come in
fast and heavy. Tomatoes are slowing down, but plenty left. And we ate our first honeydew melon which
was very good. Lost most melons to slugs but some made it.

David/Mossflower: please ask your lawyer if you should be discussing any of this online. I think you are now to a point where you need to keep this offline or things could be used against you. Easy for your wife's lawyer to Google you...and everything you have written online. You have our support; I just worry if this posting is hazardous... (sorry)

finally took a pic of the motorhome, and preserved my first scrape to memory. Going back to the shop today to get satellite tv added, and I'll have their detail crew buff it out. Hoping to head off in the next few weeks to a rv park in the Poconos and try that for the first time.

You can't fool us, you just bought a Metro bread truck and had it wrapped! Just kidding, nice RV Drew!

70 now, predicted 82, but it looks like yesterday when we had on and off rain , clouds and high of 72, that's about 16 degrees below normal. This summer has been hot and humid/cool and wet, not much in between.

I have the BEST lawyer according to the references I obtained from the Quantico Legal dept,,,

She is $$$ but good I hear...

David

Sound good, especially a woman. Even better if she's an absolutely ruthless SOB with a heart of stone--the kind that former adversaries hate.

We had a bad thunderstorm about 1600. Not too much rain, but lots and lots of lightning. The pump made it through this one. {Thank the Good Lord} We have already spent $102 on a fried controller once this year.

Don't give away any plans, or tell about "what she said". You might ask advice on "what if" basis, and later, when things are settled, you might come back and give more info. But for now, just keep your head up, stay busy, and pray for guidance.
I can't say whether to spend a whole lot of money on legal counsel. I've seen grown adults spend everything on lawyers, only to both come out broke, just to keep the other from getting anything. A lawyer that specializes in men's divorces, recommends not moving out of your home and castle. Don't be the one to budge on your home. Live there and if she doesn't like it, let her move out. Unless of course you think she might do something physically to harm you. My divorce was mutually agreed and we divided stuff ourselves and our lawyer filed the papers for $500 ($250 each) back in 1998.

Poured first cup of coffee. 63° with clouds this morning. Heading to 80° with lots of sun today. Looks like the rain/thunderstorm weather pattern has finally broken. Lawn needs cutting. Should be a good day to get it done. Got friends coming in for a few days visit.
Good Morning All.

Humid returns to the forecast. 80's today, chance of rain.

I cannot remember the last time I got a mower or tractor out for grass or hay. Well, hay, not this year! :)

   / Good morning!!!! #13,119
71 damp degrees, going up to only 82. I mean, it is August...this is actually cool weather.
Rained last night, looks like it will do it again tonight.

Got my Gravely back from the shop with sharp blades and some maintenance work done, still too soon for me to go crawling under mower decks with my neck. But with my sharp blades I have a lot of farm mowing to do, including the one steep hill I won't take the tractor on. Just not sure it will dry out enough to mow today, without making a major mess of things. And mowing on a hill in wet grass is not my idea of fun in any event. Another day if need be.

Sorry Texans, I know we sound like broken records. It rains. We mow. It rains. We mow. And mow....
