56 degrees and cloudy not expected to reach 65 today. Time they are a changing.
We had a heavy rain storm with thunder and lightning last night and it cooled down quickly!
We will finish putting things away and close up tomorrow for the year.

Cool here, 58. Going to help my wife out a bit, then need to clean out the goat pen, cut the grass, get some clean straw, and whatever comes up. I don't how I ever did all this and worked full time!

Poured second cup of coffee. 57° with clouds this morning. Heading to 73° with fewer clouds this afternoon. Off to my mothers house with my sister. Hope we can get the clean out done in next 2 weeks.

off to mow at the farm, using the Gravely on the parts near the buildings and on the steepest part
of the hill, where I just get too nervous taking either tractor.
This is when I wish I had a garden tractor with power steering.
Maybe even a 1 series JD...or a baby Kubota.

I love my Gravely, it has gone through an amazing
amount of stuff that would wreck most garden tractors. But maybe it's time to retire it to garden cart duty, but
then what? Ok, I'll take this to another thread, but as I'm about to have eight zillion field crickets jump on me, it's sure on my mind...after I pick up my coffee at Chick filet, where the coffee is the best I've ever had in a drive thru. Workers there are amazingly polite and efficient too. It's those fattening little tater tots that will truly be the death of me. Got to just say no...

likely a busy day for most folk, so pace yourselves...and no tater tots!

sort of wonder if there is anything that someone won't steal...
Haven't had a dog in a while so never worried about it getting stolen.
Of course way back when we always joked if the local Chinese restaurant had
incorporated our dog into the menu. Unlikely...

best thing any stolen dog could do is provide a little jugular massage to the thief.
Am delighted that wasn't necessary here and someone did the right thing.

I'm not scheduled to work again until Friday, but since today is payday, I will go into town to do my banking. The plan is to time it so I can take Margie out for an early supper when she gets off work.

MG, glad your daughter is getting her dog back. Hope the thieves get charged. But they will say the dog was loose and they thought it was a stray.
