Roy good luck on your interview. General Aviation sector not as robust as other sectors, which mean Boeing is a good customer, Cessna not so good.

Wayne my weather pattern has been like that all summer! normal rain per month is 2-3 1/2 July was 3/4 in August was .85 in and September 1.35 in. Have 1 day with 40% before 10/1 :(

Drew, number of choices for rivet repair, replace rivets with same type or self bucking style, or replace with stainless screw/nut w/Loc-tite, or epoxy / caulk. Leaning to stainless screw w/ scotch 5200 as have not done anything soft pop rivets in 35 years so not set to replace rivets. have to get the rivets marked before progress can be made. More testing will be required :)

Ron enjoy your R&R

This work is all on the commercial (Boeing, Lockheed, etc) and defense sectors...no civil aviation.
Civil aviation hasn't been a strong industry in many many years

Couple of hours mowing, not finished, but getting there.
Wife gave me a hard time because I spent 3 hours mowing an area never mowed before. Had to remind her how challenging those areas were and I was surprised to get it done so quickly. It is along the fence line where my ginger farmer is prepping the 5 acres

good morning 50 degrees and very foggy. rain headed our way today got to go to town anyway so little rain won't get in the way of that. going to have breakfast with an old friend that i haven't seen in a long time, seen him when i went to get some parts at napa. he keeps up with whats going on lot better than me and much smarter so i'll be listening instead of talking. one thing he told me when we talking the other day i couldn't believe in 1995 when i had a business in town the population was 14,000 today it is 4000. i knew things weren't good there but had no idea that many people had left.Roy good luck with you new job prospect and Drew hope you and Nadene enjoy the mountains it is very nice up there weht just once by mistake was headed to albany and ended up in the pocono's. everyone have a great day

Ouch! 40 leaving the door this am at o'dark thirty. Not ready for that! Mid to High 70's today and plenty of sun.
More painting when I return to the farm. Last night we made the call and donated our mini-van we had for 17 years. For a Dodge :) it served us well, lots of happy family memories in it, with trips all over. That darn thing still looks good, cleaner than some of the girls new cars.
I guess I can have my mid-life now and go get a sports car or two, finally. :)

39 right now and a high of 64 predicted...no rain.

Got the pickup loaded for a dump run. I had put 4 or 5 old gas cans (plastic and one metal) and a kerosene heater out by the road. They were all taken.
I'll be delivering some stuff to a lady on Thursday or Friday...then both sheds will be cleaned out. I feel pretty good about this...stuff should have been removed by the seller (of our house) and I should have caught this during our pre-closing walkthrough...but what's done is done.

Might start mowing today...should be a nice day for it.

Good morning all. Went to bed last night at 8pm I was so tired from getting everything ready for our trip, hooking up the new trailer to the rv, which we had never done before, and thank goodness the drop down hitch worked fine and the trailer is level. The little golf cart looks cute back there and hopefully will stay that way if I don't cut a corner too sharply...

Absolutely beautiful day for a road trip. We are headed pretty much North on secondary roads, a few highways, but I've tracked the entire path on Google Maps directions, which is a very cool device, and literally have already made the drive from above, using the Satellite view so I could see what the terrain and the towns look like. All good, easy drive, Google says 2.5 hours, will take us 3.5 which is fine.

It's funny, my laptop email still doesn't work, and that's fine with me, like turning off the phone sometimes..., but the internet will work fine where I'm going so I don't have to miss info on new jobs and new tractor adventures.
And David/Sodamo, if you post another picture of the Pacific Ocean from your home, I'm going to just get stuck there looking at it. Wow, what a view.

Mid 40's now, probably a bit cooler earlier, 75 later today. Beautiful weather in our little corner.

Any talk of secession on the Eastern Shore?

Sunny and 48. I slept in the last two days... I think I'm having a different type of depression at the moment... But at least I'm recovering from the sleep debt of last week which was miserable...

Tomorrow my middle daughter becomes a teen... I will shop for her today and deliver gifts, I am pretty sure I will not get to see her though and it truly hurts me very deeply.

My oldest daughter's Birthday is in 2 weeks... she will be 15...

Sorry I am a downer today...

God Bless all of you richly.
Be well,
David

It's a nice cool 52 F morning here in North Texas. The temperature yesterday afternoon soared above normal into the low 90s, but it sure cooled down nicely overnight. A neighbor came by yesterday afternoon to return some pint jars in which we had given her pickles. She got here just as my wife was getting ready to pick okra. A big oak tree had most of the two rows of okra shaded in the late afternoon. She went with my wife to the garden, and my wife sent all the okra they picked home with her. That's good because we have no place to put it. All our freezers are full.:)

Good luck with the job chances, Roy. You've accomplished a bunch around your new place with the time off, but I know you are anxious to get back to work, especially during the fall/winter.

Good morning! 71˚ heading to the mid nineties. At least the above ground pool is staying warm with it's solar cover. Got a good used JD Zmower (it's like a tank) yesterday so now I'm officially tri-color. - red green orange
