49 this morning clouds all day but up to 70 later, rain to hold off until this evening. Wayne good luck with wedding Randy believe weather for you will improve on Saturday but today will be very wet. For us yesterday we got almost 1/2 in not quite but almost. Still have 100 pounds of seed to put down for grass but what is down got a nice drink. One job to do today then off for weekend lots to do. Thanks Drew we have been working on this off and on for a year. Hard to find dependable contractors. Gate had to made over three times before they got it right

Finally got a start on my fence posts. Got the terminal posts for my two short gates and 2 critical corners. Tomorrow the concrete should be set enough to pull a line for my other 2 corners and 2 6 ft gates. Digging with a post hole digger by hand which has been easier than expected. If this stays true I just might do the line post by hand instead of my auger.

But, but, but....you're the Auger Man!

Poured fist cup of coffee. 36° clear skies and frost in low spots. Heading to 71° with sun most of the day. Still waiting on wife's diagnoses. She has a appointment Monday. Still working on getting fall projects done. Got detoured again yesterday. Neighbor is retiring January 1. But he has only 16 work days until then. Great to discuss all of his and my plans during retirement. He has been a neighbor for almost 30 years. Going to be great having a neighbor to do projects together next year. He does not have a tractor.

Good morning, 48 here now and heading to 72.:thumbsup: Have a long weekend because of Canadian Thanksgiving, hope to get my shed completed if wife doesn't have too long of a honey do list.

Had a very late night and a rough meeting with the In-Laws last night in Richmond... The Bro-In-Law from Oregon happened to be in town also and he and I have never been "close"...

A couple weeks ago I had what I thought was a VERY positive meeting with her parents,only to discover last night they had mis-heard me...

I think I have them straightened out and at least understanding where I stand on this issue. The good news is they are still more in favor of together vs. not. They want us reconciled, so that is good. But it was a rough night...

I need to go exercise and start my day (a little bit later than planned).

Tonight will be better. I will take my big girls to a silly kids movie and dinner... should be great.

Great avatar. . . especially for someone in construction. Do you remember Binford Tools from the TV show, Home Improvement? I have a necktie I used to wear with a big Binford Tools claw hammer on the front. It always got lots of laughs when I wore it.

good morning a little warmer 54 now. i look forward to having more time on tbn when ever that happens. thinking about everyone with sickness in the family, Jim, Ron, Drew,Wayne, if i left anyone out i didn't mean to. Toppop hope car show goes well and you raise a lot of money for the kid. i know my mil condidion has caused us to have to make some adjustments. now my wife has spoiled her and she won't let anyone bath or help her but my wife. but it's her mother if she's alright with it and there both happy thats all that matters. everyone have a great day and weekend. there was just a big convoy of mini cooper's went up the road with numbers on them i'll have to see whats going onwith that.

Thanks for the compliments wish I knew how to lay stone. There is a wall on both sides of drive with solar operated gate will take some newer pictures this weekend and yes remember TV show tie to funny

Next project is kitchen granite is picked out cabinets picked out two new appliances to go with older ones picked out as well. Work starts in November. Wife can't wait

Pleased with my fence posts from yesterday, a good day to day would be to get the other terminal posts and gate posts dug and set in concrete.

I pulled a few strings and I was able to negotiate a 60% chance for Saturday.
It's only Thursday so I could make a few more calls/texts....might be able to get that down to 50....if you promise to stop calling me a liberal....for the rest of the year....deal?
