David, you have a whole lot going for you right now that you seem to forget about. Three great girls, the youngest of which adores you, for starters. You have your health and more real friends than most of us would count in a lifetime. Most people don't have that.
Years ago I went through the same thing. If I hadn't, I never would have met Miss Right and wound up with the perfect wife for me. In retrospect, I had to go through the fire to reach the other side, even though I went kicking and screaming the whole way. It took longer than I wanted and had more pitfalls that I cared for but I made it. I once called a depression hot line (1970's) and the babe on the other end needed counseling herself. Took me an hour to get her back on track and then I realized how fortunate I was but stuck in an unfortunate situation.
So, there for the grace of God go I. And you. Things may look difficult, and they are, but you have the true grit to endure. It could be worse. And when it's all over, the party is at your place. No saturated fats for me, however, so we need some BBQ fish. Beer, however, is OK.
