I'll be doing my weekly trip to Marianna later in the morning. It's going to be a soggy one. Everyone have a good day and be careful if you have to be out in this weather.

Cold, wet and windy, we are trying to make a warm dry place for a momma cat and kitten that took up here a while back. They aren't our cats but I'm a believer in...

This time of year it seems that charity comes up more often, it shouldn't, we should be charitable year round, human nature being what is though...
I sometimes give a stranger that looks to need a hand, a few bucks, something I've always done whether I could afford it or not, after all in a day or two I don't know the difference. People often say to me;"How do you know he won't buy beer with that money?" My answer is always the same; "I don't. It's not my responsibility to see how he spends it, it's my job to offer help, so whether it buys food or cheap wine, it's out of my hands." I've done my part, beyond that I 'm not responsible. I take it on faith that someone is helped.

I think we are on the same page.

Now the real challenge is to be charitable and kind all year long, all the time.
Isn't that the lesson of Jesus?

Boy, some a-hole stole my trash can lids!!
I though they had blown off yesterday since we had those blustery winds. Since one was plastic (although in a relatively sheltered area), it wouldn't have surprised me that it blew off. The other was galvanized and even if it did blow off...just ain't going to go that far.
I walked the area today...both are gone.
What a bummer!
The plastic can was being used for kindling, so I can move that in the shed or garage. The galvanized can was for ash and that had to stay outside.

Dressing (stuffing) in crock pot is good and doesn't use oven space.

And also good with turkey giblet gravy. For me, I always eat cranberry sauce (canned normally) with whole cranberries in it. I like it once at Thanksgiving and on occasion when eating at Golden Corral and they have turkey/dressing that appeals to me. Actually, I hardly ever finish the Thanksgiving cranberry sauce. I think I'm the only one who likes it with whole cranberries and I just can't eat more than two or three meals/leftovers with the sauce before I'm ready to move on.
