Not a V though and sounds nothing like the old JD motor, but the horsepower would be there.

I see this one has the same tricycle gear I grew up with, and the first thing I thought of next was
those rear tires needed to go out to the end of the shafts to get better stability, but I bet the new tires going on will do that.
I don't think anything with tricycle gear should go too fast anyway.

Sure is fun spending someone else's money. How about a purpose built AMG motor, built from scratch to replicate the
old format but with modern efficiencies. Very low rpm, 20 hp tops, even ten would likely be fine. And even if they have to synthesize it,
recreate the pucka pucka. Low rpm, low gearing and not much muffler should be a good start...

anything with a motor fascinates me, probably always will.

ok, enough motorhead stuff for the rest of you. Though we are talking about tractors so we get some poetic license to ramble here I think....:anyone:

We are doing our fast (600 cal) day today and another Saturday. Then we have both New Years Eve and New Years Day feasting to contend with next week.

No diet for me. . . yet. I had delicious moist and tender smoked brisket yesterday. I sliced a few lb an chopped a couple more. With potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans, and rolls, there is no dieting gonna happen. In one hour, I am starting my authentic Texas bowl-o-red chili. I'll take pictures and detail the process in the Texas Fall/Winter thread. My doctor's orders were to eat more red meat to get my hemoglobin count up, so tomorrow we will have grilled rib-eyes. Brisket, chili, and rib-eyes. . .that'll get-r-done.
