Ya, that would be real old by now, was it Sunday you lost power?. You have my sympathies. Hope your power is restored soon.

It is 22 degrees here. Last night I was outside and I saw many, many, many stars so I knew it would be clear and cccccold.

Got the coffee pot brewing. 51° with rain this morning. Heading to 60° with rain continuing until early tomorrow. My neighbors rain gauge showed 3/4" of rain yesterday evening. Won't be long and I will have to cut the lawn with RV parks old push mower.

TGIF. One family party to go, a big one tonight at my sister's, and then things quiet down.
If I could just avoid the appetizers...
Actually tonight won't be a problem, my sister is more into bean sprouts than pigs in a blanket.

Quiet morning here, going up into the forties, then about an inch of rain comes tomorrow or whenever this weekend.
I guess that means another six to eight inches of snow up North. Well at least the gas in your snowblowers isn't getting stale, right?
David/Sodamo, don't your hands just tingle for the opportunity to grab that snowblower, tote that shovel, chip that ice? yeah sure.

My assignment is to bring shrimp cocktail to the dinner tonight. I know enough to cook it just enough, then plunge them into ice water to stop the cooking.
I was thinking of doing two styles. One always gets plain shrimp and then it's a function of the cocktail sauce to make or break the taste.
I'm not an Old Bay fan, what else can I season boiling shrimp with? Something I can make from scratch, I don't have any Bubba's shrimp boil here.
A little dash of curry? Something to give it a little zip and not necessarily spicey but just flavor.

Got family get-togethers this w/e. Some road time for us.

It was 19 when I left this AM, lots of stars out. Some rain heading our way. Temps appear to be stabilizing on the cold side, where they should be at this time of year.

Irv, sorry to hear your power is still down. Two of my SIL live near MO-AR border, one lost power for 2 weeks, the other for three. Kicker is they ony live about 5 miles apart.

19*F, sunny. Feels nicely mild. The warmth is supposed to stick around until New Year's Eve day when the forecast high is 7*F.

I'll get the tractor out this morning and clean-up yesterday's snow and a few corners I skipped the last time.
