I'm just getting in from work, so I thought I would say hello while I was winding down. I hope to sleep in, but not too late. I have to be back at work at 1300.

Had some weather move through yesterday. Managed to cut the grass with the tractors. About three hours worth of "lawn".

Only got stuck by a new drainage area once. My neighbor did landscaping and sent a lot more water my way. I need it to dry out and I guess I'll put some drain tile in. Sheesh....

More humid, wet weather today. May not get to finish grass around driveways. 70 now, high to 80.

72 and a lot of thunder this morning at my brothers in Kokomo Indiana this morning. I am only one up this morning. We visited my oldest brother in nursing home yesterday. It really hurts to see someone you love and they don't know who you are.
On the good side we went to my brothers 8th grade grandsons football game last night and really enjoyed watching him.

I was fortunate that we got no rain yesterday, since I picked it as a day to spray 50 gallons of gly mix.

Buppies, you're supposed to send your rain to Drew. His yard and flowers need it, and maybe it will dampen any over-enthusiasm of the HOA.

My wife is heading to Emerald Isle early tomorrow with family, and unfortunately, a potential hurricane (Cristobal) may be heading to the same beach. Everyone blow hard toward the southeast on the count of three...one, two, three...

Going to get hot again today. 75 this am 86 heat index already. Heat advisory out till Monday. High of 95 with heat indexes over 105. It's going to be a nice August weekend to do anything.(not).

There was this picture perfect little wood frame house in town. Then a large trailer house was rolled 1 foot from the property line about 10' from the house. The house is now for sale - good luck with that.

Say what you want about HOAs I like them. I have lived in neighborhood with one and have had to deal with them and even got warning letters, but when it came time to sell my house the value was good and sold fast because of the "nice neighborhood".

When you buy into a neighborhood you buy into the HOA - it is your decision.

I just wish we had a "County" HOA it's really bad when some houses look like a wrecker yard or a landfill.

Really kind of confusing days for me. I am trying to get my younger sister into a alcohol rehab program here in Michigan. Hopefully, we have one set up for Saturday am. In the meanwhile, she is staying with us. We locked up all the alcohol, and I have been staying with her, while my wife works. I am really hopefull that she can beat this. We aren't kids anymore, and I told her, she is supposed to go to my funeral, not the other way around.
