Sounds like a good plan.

Sorry such a rough time for you.

Heat is about to be over for good for this year. By next weekend light jackets will be needed

Drew,

I feel your frustration. I detest those days when no matter what I do nothing goes right. But be careful, we here all really want to watch you fix up that new place in NC for a good long while. You have a LOT of long rambling posts still to write. Like Bup said, plastics parts is all cosmetics bro...

Be well,
David

The AC came on at 5am! The T-stat said it was 78 outside!

I'm off to Harrisonburg for a good friends company picnic. Should be a good day.

Be well all,
David

Coffee is done brewing. 63° with light rain this morning. Heading to 71° with clouds breaking into sunshine in the afternoon. Back to nice Michigan weather. Not much planned today. I am sure something will show up.
Drew, take care of your body.
Good Morning All.

good morning all. Am in Delaware on the way home today.
I just want to forget the last two days.
Heat exhaustion helping trucker load ag equipment, face went purple, heart pounding, sick as heck.
I chilled out immediately, but I've felt lousy since, chills, sweats, cramping body wide, can't eat when I'm hungry, boy I can't wait until this done. Almost done me in for sure. Could be a sugar issue too, not sure.

and it got worse yesterday. Trying to load my new Avalon on the car dolley, the air dam did not clear and almost ripped the front of the car off. Maybe a thousand in plastic parts damage. We finally got it on, but not sure how to get it off. Luckily my new next door neighbor is a FT fireman and with my cribbing, I think we can get it off without leaving the bumper on the ground. Really made me sick(er), new car...

sorry to moan, it's just like how can this get any harder. But 2pm today I'll be home, and I may go right to bed.
and tomorrow I will be more positive.

Drew....Since today is Sat. you should go pay a visit to one of the many walk in Clinics or the ER at a local hospital....Don't play around with symptoms like this....Get checked out.....

Good morning to you all, and good to see some familiar faces. I don't post much, but read a lot just for fun. Since we've had so much late summer rain, the mowing of my place and trailering to my Son's place has kept me busy along with other stuff. Glad to be able to do it however. May you all have a good day.
Cheers,
Mike

Don't underestimate that vinegar Wyan it'll eat up metal if you leave it in the bath too long. A couple of weeks ago I walked over to put something in my bucket to clean it up and lo-and behold I'd forgotten about a set of old hinges I'd laid in there. What's left of them will go for weight.

Dave it hasn't been dry enough in these parts to think about getting the tractor out unless you want to compact the soil to the point of pavement conditions. Just about the time it starts drying up it rains again......like it's going to later today.
I did finally get that back hoe from across the field into the shop though, this winter I'll need to tear it down and replace too many seals. Bummer.
With rain coming in again it doesn't look like I'll be able to turn over that acre or so that I've been leaving fallow. And if it doesn't dry out this season it won't happen at all this year because that piece doesn't ever really dry out except about mid August in any year and the first freeze just ain't that far away.

Hey rs ! Yeah ... thanks ... great idea ! I think I will give it a try for general de-rusting up in the shop ... I certainly don't want to bring this muriatic acid inside - with the fumes and all - once the weather starts getting bad ... I think I'd read or heard that there is a stronger version ... "cleaning vinegar" ... or something like that ... that can be used for de-rusting ... Sounds like it would be ideal, where you could toss something in it and not have to worry about it being ate up if you forgot about it for a while. And speaking of forgetting about stuff ... when I opened up the 5 gallon bucket of phosphoric acid a while back to de-rust some stuff for a neighbor, I fished around down in there and found a u-shaped piece of metal I had stuck in there ... about 10 years ago ... :D It's one (of two) seat mounts for our old Cub Cadet 782 that I had started to restore ... I'll have to dig out the other one and see how they compare ... I was surprised the one in the acid bucket was still even there.

There are 3 strengths of vinegar. A 5%, a 10% and a 20%. The 5% is what you cook with. The 20% is called agriculture grade. It's suppose to work well as a weed killer.

It's 73 here headed to 85. Have a full day of weedeating today. What fun. Maybe that rain will making in early and leave so it will cool off.

Wow, been away for a spell. Lots going on.
Buppies hope your feeling better.
Drew, heat exhaustion is a killer. When you stop sweating, you need to cool off. Hope you get some cool respite soon. Hate HOA's but understand their basic premise.
Dave, God has his plan for you. Divorces with children often have no winners. Do your best to lighten your load.
