A nice 56 here this morning. Really feels good only sticking around for a couple of days but suppose to be back in a week or so.
I am saddened to hear we lost Jinman...
I watched the same movie as Drew about the Franklin Co. Bootleggers on Saturday
Yesterday I broke out the Stihl Farmboss and dropped a large and very dead mimosa folia, a 50' sweet gum, and some nuisance dogwoods. Some of the wood is destined for the wood stove, much of it for the bonfire.
Limbing with a 20" farmboss is exhausting... I am so sore today...
Be well all,
David
Which one do you have?
That my friend is one heck of a saw, makes my 260pro look dinky. Know too well though that 2000lb feeling at the end of the day
David {MFW} the trunks of those dogwoods make good ax, hoe and shovel handles.
and the rest makes wonderful firewood and kindling; great hardwood.
but always sad to see a dogwood go, but they don't seem to be very long lived and at least once we had to replant all of them on the farm I grew up on when they all died of some blight. But oh the firewood.
Stopped raining here for a bit but looks to start up again. All this water is headed North up the coast.
they just put a flood watch up here for another one to three inches after 3.34 inches yesterday
