Good morning!!!!

I am 36 pages behind now and I fear I may never catch up...

Looks like 6-10" snow predicted for this evening/overnight. Looks like I may need to mount the snowplow on my Ranger.

Any suggestions for how much weight to put in the bed?

I've still got my girls until 6pm due to I got the holiday today so not sure when I will be able to do this though... I also need ever more wood...

Be well all,
David

I use 4 (50 lb) sand bags

I really feel for you guys getting dumped on by snow. By this point it must be tiring and especially cold.
I was out all morning, mostly in a heated cab, filling low spots in the lawn, but other little outside chores chilled me to the bone. I am now in for the duration.

Firewood stacked up near the door, going to light up a fire this afternoon in case I lose power in tonight's ice storm and freezing rain. Just one state up Buppies and Wingsprd are getting the snow, but coastal NC isn't going to get much. I knew there was a reason I moved here...;) really, after 77 inches last year in Philadelphia, and literally a lifetime of shoveling snow, am happy to look at the pictures.

I have tried to upload pics on two different computers with no luck, won't upload. Anyone else having problems?
The upload designator twirls and then disappears without doing anything.

Drew, for the last couple of days I have had to post my WFS??? pictures somewhere else, then copy the URL and post the pictures that way. Maybe you and me have used up our annual allotment already:(

Good afternoon all. 3 1/2 in. snow, radar shows no more significant snow. 16F this morning, forecast for 23F and overcast. Tomorrow evening cold front comes through and another snow storm but less than this one. 10 day forecast is min 10F below normal, not good biking weather. :confused3:
Drew tried to upload files, I see them up load on the network but they don't show on the manage attachments.

Thanks Roy!

That is a lot less than I thought.

I have some solid brick and concrete porch pillars that are about 3' long and heavy as heck I was planning g to use 2 but maybe one will do... They must be well over 300lbs...

For just your own driveway it probably doesn't amount to a great deal of wear and tear. If the front end squats when you lift the plow off the ground, you need more weight in the back end to minimize wear in the front end.

I think there is a technical issue. Tried to post a couple of pics yesterday without luck.

They're having issues with new photos being posted and discussing it on another thread. I'm able to post via Safari on my tablet but not through the app.

... My package with the parts from Surplus Center is out on the truck for delivery ... be interesting to see after the last little incident if our UPS driver is brave enough to run 250' over a couple inches of snow on flat ground to drop it at the shed. My bet is no ...
My faith in humanity - or at least our UPS delivery guy - has been restored ... :D

TBN photo loader must really be broke, I can't get them on even with a Mac.

The temperature has dropped 30˚ since this morning when I posted, the WBS loaded and on stand-by.

Good morning all.
It has been raining all night here. Cold wet nights often seem much harder on the sheep than when it is below freezing.
This morning I found an older ewe that hadn't the energy to stand up. Fortunately she was being kept company by some younger ewes who had kept any predators away.

She was at the point furthest away from our house. With our land forming a long narrow triangle, that is just over a mile from home.
At one time on a wet day like this I would have been bringing her back in a wheelbarrow.
Not today though, time for the Iseki to start earning it's keep and make use of the 4 wheel drive.

With the 3-point-hitch still to be sorted, the only option was to put the bucket on.
I left the hoses for the 4-in-1 clam off as I'm still learning the new joystick and didn't want her accidentally dropping out - or worse.

Wrapped her in a piece of carpet tied up with baler twine.

All went well and we made it home.

Glad she made it home. Hope you can help her get going again. So when Txdon comes to help mow, can I come to shoot predators?

Sadly, I remember using my FEL/tractor as a hearse to carry my beloved 110lb Golden Retriever to his final resting spot on a cold, drizzly, windy day. That was back in late 2004. He's buried under an oak tree, overlooking our 2 acre pond. He loved to fish.

When we lost our golden almost three years ago we had her creamented still miss her fishing in the pond. They cast her paw print for us. Lost both our dogs three months apart still brings a tear or two

A whopping 8 degrees and still no water. Bought a infrared heater for the garage to help heat the pump. Not sur if the outside is froze or inside. The pressure switch won't close so I think its froze too.

Perhaps all to common a use.

We brought 2 boxers with us when we moved in 2005. Jack departed unexpectedly in 2008 and our first to ride in the bucket. Two years ago, at the age of 12, his gf and mother to his litter joined him in our pet cemetery. Makes for a somber tractor ride.

That's no fun. Maybe use a heat tape if there are exposed copper or iron pipes, and blast hot air to the pump area. I wish I had better ideas.

Murph do you know someone with a torpedo heater that you could borrow that would thaw her quick.
