Last day of work until 6/23...vacation Mrs. has already added to project list keep little busy.

Notice last evening something has ate leaves from cuke plants,when ever it was had little fear for the plants next to the house,looks like I be purchasing plants and fencing after work.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 54° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 78° with chance of thunderstorm late in the afternoon. Need to got to the SOS (Secretary of State) office and new plates for Car and Motorhome. In MI is your plates are more than 10 years old you need to get new plates regardless of their condition. Then mostly yard chores later in the day.

going to be a nice day here, hot but for once I'm staying inside, sort of.
Came home late yesterday after picking up my trim mower from the shop (yes....the call saying it was ready came two hours after I bought a cheapo second mower from Ace hardware, one with a deck so thin I think sticks will dent it) but I like my replacement mower so much, half the weight of the Ariens, that I may use it more. Cheesy little B&S 500 motor, looks like it's made of plastic, probably is. But after putting gas in it, it started on the first pull. Brand new mower, first pull.
No complaints there.

I have a question on the cost of water. Now most of you have your own wells, but those of you on municipal water (I am at the very, very end of the city water line) how much do you pay per gallon of water?
Now I'm sure David/Sodamo pays for water like it was cheap scotch, but what about the rest of you?
My last bill showed about 3000 gallons of usage for about 30 bucks, worked out to .008 cents per gallon.
How does that compare?

on the way home yesterday stopped at Lowes and picked up shelving lumber. Got lazy and did not rip my own.
I don't understand why wood/tree prices are low based on what is being charged for finished lumber. Everything is 15 or 20 bucks a board it seems. I got to the register and just groaned.

Good Morning Everyone, just a quick note before I head to work. It is 73 here already and supposed to rain most of the day with a high of 89. This weekend is gonna be HOT!!! They are saying 97 & 99 for highs. When I got home last night I jumped on the mower to do the back yard and got about half way before the skies opened up. Will see how wet things are when I get home tonight to see if I can finish. Then I still have the front, the drive, and the easement out by the road.

You can tell it is summer time... work is picking up and my 2 summer employees are wanting to start. One drives a school bus, and the other is a school counselor.

Good morning all, 61F heading to 77F with a chance of rain this evening. Installed new magnetic seals around both entrance doors of the house. Should be be good to go for drafts this winter.

Good morning! 71˚ partly cloudy heading to the mid 90s. Thanks all, Dad is bouncing back from ????. Dr. agreed with plan A and stopped a med, hoping it was just a rare side effect. Up to a week ago he was still on his tractor, but from now on - I don't know - we will see how he is in a week - he is already talking about mowing his yard with his riding mower - (he probably did it yesterday evening already). I'm still recovering from being up for 24hrs. Sun/Mon.

I was awaken to a lot barking this morning. It was just a dog and and hog in the fog. My bull nettle seed pods have been disappearing - now I know the culprit.
