3.07 inches rain last 24 hours. Unlike what some of our east coast folks are experiencing, this is nothing for us, just an inconvenience, but haven't heard any reports from other areas that could be flood prone.

Got the bathroom tile grouted. Taking day off, just watch football.

Finally got pics uploaded of my deck enclosing. 35 right now and foggy...a bit clammy in the house. 61 will be the high today.

I diid find a nice level spot to stow the backhoe, so that's off the tractor now. I'll have to pick up a tarp one day this week for covering it (over the winter). Main chore today, once it warms a bit, is to install all the 3PH links and such. Also have to take my step daughter's futon down stairs (been in the garage for about a month). After those are done...just piddle about, I guess.

OK Gary and KevT all your fine building is rubbing off and I feel the need to build with this cooler weather.

Oh no, it's warm outside again mid 80s and rising. The feeling as passed, maybe next month.

The cooking class assignment was to cook a batch of beans and be creative in the spices and especially the "PRESENTATION"- grading emphasis on the presentation. So my wife got creative and made a bean bear with a sweet potato shirt. Tomorrow we will find out her grade on this assignment.

Kev, are you following the classic formulae for a TBN project, with one person doing the hard work, one supervising (and possibly occasionally working too, but never caught on camera in that state)and a third to take the pictures ? The photographer always wins.

Good morning. Nothing lasts for ever and our Indian summer has now come to a wet and windy end. It is starting to feel more like autumn, although almost all the trees around here have so far refused to change color, let alone start shedding leaves.

windy, rainy day here, seems the rain won't go away, still stormy South of here; that front has hardly moved. At least it moved just North of Charleston.

paperwork day inside, wash to do, outside just too wet to do anything. Forecast for rest of week is dry; probably going to be a big cleanup day tomorrow picking up sticks
Think I might take a trip down to Lowes later and see if they got in any fall shrubs, still have about 50 tree holes planted that still need a tree; yesterday most of the dug holes were filled with water. I'm told Leland Cypress has some problems around here, though mine are sure growing just fine, so i'm looking for other not expensive alternatives for fast growing barrier trees.

53 this morning windy cloudy and breezy light drizzle high of 64 later today. Changed antifreeze in tractor oil in UTV. Hopefully tomorrow dry enough to return to work.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 55° with a passing shower this morning. Heading to 69° with mostly cloudy skies. Not much going on today. Latest news on my mother house is new FHA rules have delayed the closing. Will see what that means in next few days.

Not much going on, need to get the back wheel back on the mower deck for the Kubota. That's a ten minute job. LOL.
