Good morning!!!!

Hey, welcome Retired Guy. Please keep all white stuff up there, where it belongs.
31 Sunday night here, good thing, will kill off the mosquitoes.

Didn't get a whole lot accomplished today. Then this afternoon I get a call from Wells Fargo fraud dept asking me if I bought lunch today in Georgia. No ma'am. How about tank of gas at? No ma'am, this is bogus, I haven't left Washington NC. How about Amazon last night? Yup.
there goes that card into the grinder. Now I'm going to look over my charges and see where I handed the card to anyone where it left my sight. But the lady told me it was just as possible they had a card reader at the gas station working illegally. No cost to me, just pita. I pay all my utilities on that card because I get one percent back.
Now I have a lot of paperwork to do.

cleaned up the decorating mess I had made so far, and tomorrow I hope to get some local help to rake a ton of pine straw that came down in the last rain.
I wish I could make it materialize in Larro's pine straw patch.

Drew, I also use a 1% cash back credit card to pay for as much of the monthly bills as possible. With all the hacks going on, it gets changed way too often, so I {I mean Margie} have to contact everyone to get the new card going. Big Time PITA.

My heating and air guy came by this morning to put in a part that was on order all summer. {I didn't know it, but the heat wouldn't have worked if I had changed it over, and our forecast low for Sunday night is a chilly 36F} He ask if he could rake up some of the pine straw. I told him my straw man pays by the acre, not the bale, so he wouldn't like that too much. Last year they baled between Thanksgiving and Christmas, so I should be seeing them soon. It is looking thick out there now, and will seem bare when they rake it.

Drew, that is a real pain.
Had it happen to me years ago. Sadly, part of my morning routine is to access all accounts every morning just to check activity. Gotten to the point if I miss a few days due to travel or something, I begin to think that is the day they got me. One thing I did learn is numbers sometimes change a few cents, likely due to poor penmanship. My practice now if involving a tip and restaurant I round to next higher .00.

I have passed the 3K mile mark this year on the bike, with Saturdays ride will pass 100 miles for the week.

You have certainly been putting the miles in this year, 3k and still counting is well and truly pedal addiction.

Back in the day when I cycled plenty, my milometer was driven by a tiny little rubber drive belt. I remember feeling gutted after discovering that the belt had broken and my last week had not added to the tally, then later thinking how silly that was - only the digits hadn't changed, I had still had the pleasure of the rides . After that I took it off, telling myself the few ounces saving in weight would make it easier to ride up hills.

Good morning. We had more high winds overnight and a brief covering of wet snow. This morning when I went to check on the sheep, the field where I left them yesterday appeared empty. I looked around, expecting them to be tucked under the hedge somewhere, but nothing. Finally I saw white dots on the furthest field, so something has happened to the fencing over there to let them in. Decided to come in, have some breakfast and let the wind die down a little more before I set off with some fencing tools. I'm not keen on going under trees when the wind is strong.

Yesterday it started raining in the afternoon as I was splitting wood. I had backed the tractor under the shed roof overhang, so was feeling pretty smug at the novelty of being under cover with a machine to do the grunt work, instead of out in the rain with an axe. Smug only until I realised that the water dripping into the puddle underneath the rear of the tractor wasn't water at all, it was hydraulic oil. I knocked the engine off and followed the oily trail upwards until I found that the back of a quick fit coupling on the log splitter hose was not even finger tight. No big problem and a few turns with the spanners had it sorted, although by the time I had finished toing and froing with the wrong size spanners, I was as wet as if I had been out in the rain with that axe and a lot colder too.

I do the same, and also do it at the gas or Diesel pump. Simple by Choice...

But I have to confess to not keeping much of an eye on the charge and bank accounts, sometimes putting off reconciling and balancing them for many months. I scan the on line lists of transactions a few times a month, and like others have mentioned have to call or go on line to update credit card info for autopay goods or services when a credit card is compromised. All part of what makes me wonder how I ever had time to work a 40, 50, or 60 hour a week job before I retired.

I am not looking forward to it, have to help someone move tomorrow. Oh, the joys of retired life !!!

Hopefully you can confine your contribution to lighter jobs while you watch others load and unload your truck/trailer? Regardless, welcome to the asylum!

Good morning all...34 degrees here and the snow started about a half hour ago. Used to work outdoors much of the time so it will not bother me but the snow will make moving stuff hazardrous. We are pretty much using my truck (Full size GMC Yukon XL) and 6'X12' open aluminum utility trailer. Few people want to get up to help someone at 8 am on a Saturday so I doubt if I will get much in the way of lighter jobs. Winter storm watch for this area until late tonight, will keep you posted.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 33° with snow flakes this morning. Heading to 35° with snow most of the day. Cannot tell by weather maps if I am in the 1 to 3", 3 to 6" or 6 to 10" snow band. Since it is already snowing I am sure we will get snow. Off to my mothers place to turn water off and reset thermostat after another home inspection yesterday. Looks like sale should be completed in next 2 weeks.
Drew, another reason I like my smart phone. I get notifications when those type of things happen almost instantly. Not sure if it helps though. Still need to change card info on sites that auto bill to the affected card.
RG2, welcome to the Good Morning group. Nice to see another Michigander posting.
Good Morning All.
Good Morning All.

And worse, wait for a new card to be delivered. Usually that's not a big deal, but a few years ago I was motorcycling in Baja, Mexico when my card stopped working. It was hard enough to find a phone to call the bank and find out what was going on, but when they told me that the new card would be waiting for me when I got home, I asked them what am I supposed to do for money in the mean time? :pullinghair: I'm not with that bank any longer...

Good morning! 61˚ and this is the warmest temp of the day. The wind has changed and is coming from the North. A shower is expected and then the winds will pick up.

This mornings project is to make a Sweet Potato pie. (With no sugar, milk, eggs, or flour.)

Ron, is that 3 frequent goodmorningers from Michigan and 3 from Texas now?

a much chillier 38 degrees here going up to mid sixties in sun, nice day. Lots of leaf blowing to do and then hook up the 1200 pound water roller and try to level out all the ruts the contractors have made going through part of my lawn heading back to the barn. Ground is soft from the rain a few days ago so its the perfect time to roll.
Let's roll...(with reverence...)

this afternoon I'm going to do a little more xmas decorating, and then make my first fire in the fireplace. That I am sure looking forward to.

SNOW?
Roy, are you ready?

SNOW?
Roy, are you ready?

Well, the snowblower is rigged to the tractor. The fuel has been winterized...the equipment is ready, but I'm not sure I am!

Welcome!
Be careful in the snow.

30 and clear here, up in the tree, waiting for Mr. Buck. Saw lots of shooting stars early this morning.

Wow, I am having a hard time thinking about all your temps. I am in fall mode now with the house opened up and our low was 62 and our high will hit 80 today. Going to run errands today. May put the PHD on and set some more wood posts while pulling more bent T-posts. Hot wire supplies should be here today or monday

txdon--I hope this is the right place to ask so if not I'll send a PM. The question is, how bad is sugar for you and what amount is acceptable? How do you make a sweet potato pie with none of the above ingredients?

34 degrees @ 8:36 am and the global warming falling out of the sky very fast. It looks like we have almost an inch and a lot more on the way according to the radar. The forecast was only for 1 inch but I think we already have more than that.

Deer hunters are out in force, the 14 year old neighbor already got a buck and his dad is back out in the stand to get another. It won't bother me if they kill em all as I'm tired of hitting them with my vehicles and watching them eat my pine trees.
