Good Morning! 37F @ 7:15 AM. Plentiful sunshine. High 52F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.

Seems as though it's colder in California this morning than Wisconsin! Yesterday the high was 60F and I took advantage of the warmth to putter a bit out in the garage. Buring some manzanita limb wood in the stove this morning, very dense hot wood that makes very little noise and leaves hardly any ash. But today after it warms up a little bit it's time to put some miles on that motorcycle, and maybe track down some frozen New Mexican chili.

Sounds like you may have an infection, Drew.
The one my wife had in Oct was slow to go away and she blames her lingering sinus infection on it.
The only bright spot, she liked the new guy that redid her root canal.

Good afternoon all. 60F and rapid clearing this morning and the wind machine cranked up early. Forecast for 70F today and already there. Got the bike ride in this morning, got my consulting bill submitted, and about to go attack the leaves. Temps in the 70's through Christmas, then after 5 1/2 rain over the weekend, a return to more seasonable temps.

stuffed full of Keflex and tylenol with codeine, I am still chipmunk cheeked but hope it will go down a bit tonight.
Farmer, my only root canal had four roots. I was told it was unusual

73 degrees, with a daytime high of 77 predicted for the next four days straight. I'm getting a little concerned my fruit trees won't have enough "cooling days" to
effectively get the trees to go through normal seasonal changes. There are still a few leaves coming off.

Going to watch a movie tonight and just chill. I might use up some of that leftover shrimp and make a scampi over something. Garlic is good for everything right?

46 right now and it's raining. High of 65 today and the rain should be tapering off.
Shouldn't be up this early...off work (except for a presentation I brought home to finish) until 04 Jan

a warm 66 degrees going up to 77 today, little if no rain but .94 inches last night; going to be wet and sloppy out there.
Roy glad you are getting some time off.

Happy to report that Keflex has done a good job on my tooth and chipmunk cheeks, so the day is starting better.
I have some errands to run but not much planned for Christmas Eve.

Wearing shorts on Christmas Eve; my propane supplier won't be ho ho ho'ing... :thumbsup:

There's just nothing like the day before Christmas for a little kid.
All those possibilities...who knows what Santa will bring?

Now if we could teach little kids that Christmas is about the giving not the getting, and many parents do, but it's
an uphill battle with all the kid marketing that goes on.
I can remember when the one or two presents at Christmas went up to three or four. Times got better...
And there was always the not totally joking threat of a bag of coal.

Good Morning, this is another one of those mornings where the thermometer tells one story of exceedingly mild weather, while only 30 minutes outside with Eva (the name of our lastest storm) was more than enough of a soaking for me and the dog. The wind here is nothing though compared to the tornadoes that we hear have been moving across the mid-west of the US.

Wife and SIL are just about to set off and collect the turkey for tomorrow, while I get to play yet another game of junior scrabble. No doubt the little one will now be asking me "What's C-O-A-L grandad ?"

Only 1 more sleep to Christmas.

61 this morning high of 71 later very windy and gaining right now. Temperature wise it doesn't seem like rain but it is.

The amounts of fain we have been having is unreal ground is really wet now. Seems the weather guessers think the weather is getting ready to change from spring to winter and in a hurry. When the third storm system comes thru next week the atmosphere will change leading to snow and ice for the east. We shall see

55.2F @ 08:00 ... may have already hit the high for the day - 58.6F - which occurred @ 02:02.

Cut out bad section of exhaust pipe yesterday on The Woman's car, where the front and rear pipes had joined together. Ran down to NAPA and picked up an adapter and a couple of clamps and sleeved it. $14 repair. Might get a year or two out of it ... should at least hold until summer. Muffler looks to be in pretty bad shape, with outer layers of metal starting to flake off ... will probably have to be replaced this coming summer. First repair to the exhaust system in 15 years, so can't complain.

I think most of the rust I got in my eyes worked its way out while I slept last night

After that I worked on the van a bit, then made dinner ... pork chops using the chicken parmesan recipe off the Hellman's Mayonaise jar ... wife has used this recipe before with chicken, which I liked, and although I got a bit carried away with the bread crumbs it turned out quite good IMO.
