It was well over freezing last night, like 37 this morning? It is grey and hazy, gives me a tad of the "don't give a flip" kind of 'tood this morning... I need to shake it off and get stuff done.
Tomorrow looks like rain, and I've planned some chainsawing, because I need to watch some playoffs (all 3 of my wife & I's teams are playing this weekend!).
the woodstove has been burning constantly for a week. the wood pile has shrank indeed! I need to let it go out long enough to remove some of the ash (there is not much really). it is warm enough inside I've opened windows in kitchen and living room to get a slight breeze through the main part of the house.
I'm loving heating with wood and wonder if I can get a wood fired furnace attachment to the heat pump when we fix up the house... for supplemental heat.
The ground is all spongy and squishy again because it warmed up, but not enough to dry anything out.
Be well all,
David
