Rswan, I look at your grapple and think that it is turned upside down, but then I realize that that yours is a grab from the top grapple and mine is a scoop from the bottom grapple. Compared to a hand, my fingers would go underneath to pick something up and your fingers would be on top. I really like how wide yours opens.

My wife has gone retro. She got a record player and scored her first two "vinyl finds" at Goodwill.
1. Herman Hermits - 1.99
2. Statler Bros. - .99

RNG what is the name of the color of the van? On my monitor it looks like peach.

I call it awful orange. In real life it looks sorta like pumpkin pie filling. Fortunately I'm only using the roof out of the body, and even that'll get sprayed white.

You might want to look into getting your monitor color calibrated, Don. I think your running MacOS, and there's a tool in the Display Preference Pane. Get ready to do some squinting ;)

Don,

Thanks ... that's a good description of the difference.

After having no grapple for so long, I'm just happy to have anything ... that it seems to be working well for roots and stumping is just icing on the cake.

Truth be told, I wouldn't mind having both styles ... :D

Might have to add that to the project list ...

Seal kit for the bucket cylinders is around $50 per (2 required), but it's the complete kit with all the seals, not just the internal ones on the pistons. First dealer I called didn't have them in stock, but according to his computer two other local dealers do.

Probably call the local hydraulic shop next and see if they can be of any help.

Local shop says individual seals for Kubota cylinders are hit and miss ... might have to buy the kits from Kubota. Asked for a rough, off-the-top-of-his-head figure for installing them if I provide them.

$200 - $300 per cylinder, without seeing them ...

Yeah, I don't think so ...

66°F and .08 inches rain since midnight here at home sweet home.

Many, many TBN pages to read, but glad to be home after a wonderful adventure.
Off to town, wife has a previously scheduled check up with the root canal dentist from last fall.

Be safe
Have a great day

Any guesses before I break out the book?

Too dark for a Copperhead and too brown for a Hognose. No rattle. ??

It must have come by flood waters.

Close up of the head looks like the hognose we have in this area.

that's a "I don't want to ever see you at my place snake".

see, easy.

with rain coming in for days apparently, I'm going out to mow. Going to take the Gravely this time, give the new engine a workout. I need to post this in the Gravely section; poor guys in there never get anything new. 23hp now vs 19. :dance1:
choke install on new engine awful, they ran it over the muffler and it dries out and sticks. They didn't seem to know how to shorten the cable. It came in a certain length and they made it fit, even though it didn't... Another project for me. Is there something really difficult about cutting a choke cable other than stripping the outside layer?
Most importantly, my chrome muffler tip off the Kohler fit the Vanguard. That's all that was important anyway. ;)
