Finally got enough rain so I can go do a final till on the garden and get to work on my food plots once the rain stops. Bought my seed a couple of weeks ago - sunflowers, buckwheat, and a mix of soybeans, cowpeas, and sorghum. The crimson clover fields are blooming great since I planted them last fall and the white clover is coming along nicely.

Need to pour first cup of coffee. 61° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 57° (Angola, IN) with some sun. Back on the road today. Lose another hour of time today. Plus 500 miles to travel if I want to get home today. Going to spend one more night in a campground. Weatherman say there is rain coming this morning. Should be a interesting travel day.

Good morning! 62˚ raining. The first line of rain hit at 3am now the second line is moving through. I had a tough time fixing the dam yesterday, half of the time I got a load of dirt I had to dump it because I started sinking. I finally did pug up the hole in the dam and the the small sand catching/frog pond should rise 4 feet today.

Good morning all,60 here going to 68. Chance of rain through monday night except Sat. supposed to get between 1/10 and 1/4 unless we get a thunder storm. Got a couple good rains last night. Might have gotten 3/10 or so, the rain gauge reset and only shows the .13 we got after midnight. Looks like you Texans are getting plenty of rain again. Be careful, I heard they are calling for bad tornadoes and grapefruit size fail in the plains today. Prayers sent. Ed

Good evening Back home,Took a goof off trip up to Mark's cabin in the top of Wisconsin that got tripped up. Should of been gone till Friday, but things happen.

It was 12:30 PM yesterday when we were told Mark's brother may not make it through the night so he headed home to fly out to CA. San Diego early AM this morning. So I staid back and closed up things and checked to see what other stuff needed to be done if any. Locked everything up and headed home at 9:20 AM got home at 3:00PM.

Tired. Still don't know if his brother made it through the night.

Bummer If he passes that will be three of his four brothers gone.
I will catch up later.

a warm 64 this morning going up to mid 80's with wet weather coming in. Not sure how much, forecast keeps changing. I'm tired of watering grass seed so bring it on.
Don, would it help to mix some stone in the walls of that pond/dam to reduce erosion?

I can well imagine Don planning a major dam project after seeing your suggestion, with lots of concrete, steel reinforcement, more concrete then all topped with precisely cut and positioned stone. What's more, he probably do it all in one morning.

A late Good Morning from me, I am over in Yorkshire today.

It doesn't feel any warmer on this side, with frost covering all the parked vehicles early this morning, although spring appears slightly more advanced in these parts. It looks as though I have just missed a wedding, with white and pink confetti spread all around, the cold north wind persuading the cherry trees to let go of their petals as soon as they have blossomed.
