Though I have to imagine it brings an amused smile to Roy's face when he logs on and is described as epic every day.
I'm not sure I've done too many things that were epic in my life time.
what's above epic? What could be?
Actually, until you wrote about it...hadn't noticed. I thought I was still a super star or something like that...
The only other "epic" TBNer that I can think of is Bird Senter...and he's been a TBNer for at least a few years longer then I have

Maybe only epic TBN members can run for President. Roy?

Actually, that might be a good idea! I don't lie, cheat or sell my office for personal gain. Well mannered and I don't grope (not that I can remember, anyway). I'm pretty open minded...but, per one of the candidates, I'm a "deplorable redneck"

We are set for a wet day today, so it looks like I will be having the pleasure of working (unpaid) for the government today.

I think most of you will be familiar with the idea of a sales tax on the final sale of goods to a consumer. That happens in Europe too, however we also have to account for tax on just about everything, down to the last nut and bolt, of items traded between businesses too - a "Value added Tax" (VAT). Gathering information on such things comes naturally to accountants, but for those of us who are self employed it is an additional job to add to the list and one that must be done every 3 months without fail. Forgetting to file a VAT return has much worse consequences than Ron forgetting to buy a card. Apart from a fine, it would risk raising the wrath of a VAT inspector  - the most fearsome creatures still roaming wild in the UK.

B7510HSD, awesome storm picture :) Pleased it only ended with a toppled chair, instead of a ripped off roof.

Not a fan of VAT tax, mfg killer. Take .20 cents worth of material, add an hour of mfg, price now worth $100. So, tax paid on $99.80

Good Morning! 57F @ 8:45AM. Considerable cloudiness. Occasional rain showers this afternoon. High 63F. Winds SSE at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 60%. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.

Only got another half inch of gentle rain yesterday, but the winds continue to gust up into the 40MPH range. No new trees down that I've seen, but I need to take another walk around today.

Shhhh! Some people might get the idea I'm some kind of hippie freak or sumpthin' Kyle.

And you didn't mention anything about beer. What kind of an Oktoberfest would it be without beer? :confused2:

Glad you got rain.

RNG, you are an anomaly. A zebra striped BMW tipped me off. :) All the stuff you do will be against the law in a short time in your state. The church I belong to, does not frown on drinking. Unless you go overboard and have too much. Jesus drank wine.

Good morning all. A few drops of rain for us first thing, then hopefully dry for the rest of the day. That would be nice as I need to replace a rotting gatepost that is threatening to let the sheep go on an adventure that I would prefer they missed out on.

It looks like the trailer restoration is about to turn into a Good morning community project. That could be fun, if you come up with all the suggestions and I try them out.

After power washing underneath these are pics of cylinder and rear pivot. Let me know if you need a different angle pic - not much room under there so snapshots are very hit and miss affairs.

Ok, what's next ?

Good morning all. 55 here this morning going to 84 with am fog and then sunny. Cooler weather coming with a high Sat. of 57. Not sure what I will get into today. Lately don't have much time and am slower than I used to be.

Have a great day. Ed

I think you're on the right track with a week or so of soaking in penetrating oil. I use on called Aero-Kroil here, but a 50/50 mix of acetone and automatic transmission fluid is said to work even better at a much reduced cost. I've had good luck heating parts like that with an oxy-acetylene outfit, then spraying them with the oil as they cool down. Repeat two or three times a day until they break loose. Probably not what you want to hear, but once they do, I'd pull it all apart for a clean up and repaint.

62 going to 82 today in a surprisingly warm Fall day. Going to be an interesting day today, carport crew showing up at 7am to build carport for travel trailer. Will try to get some pics of that. Headed out to sit at the end of the lane with the UTV to make sure they swing wide enough to not hit the pine trees out there. My two pine soldiers guarding the end of the lane, flanking the end at both sides. Kinda wish they had grown up about five feet further apart than they are.

Judgement day for the car. The shop either finds the rattle or I have to dump it. Besides, it started after the last time they worked on it, which doesn't mean anything really other than coincidence. It's been in the shop since last week; they only work Tuesday through Fridays. Must be nice...At last call they were in there with microphones of some sort. Rattles are tough, this one is hidden somewhere they can't find. They worked on the suspension and brakes and already fixed one bad muffler rattle; unfortunately on a quiet car a rattle underneath is really annoying and turning up the radio doesn't help. I spent five grand fixing up this car, to wind up with a wonderfully running car, with a rattle. Sure hope they find it. Otherwise I'm going to buy a Volvo and turn my fun brain off.

Need to pour second cup of coffee. 66° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 74° with afternoon rain. Lawn almost needs cutting again. Undecided if I will do it today.
Eric, cylinder pin looks like it may never have been greased. Good luck freeing up all the pins. I have soaked items that are not plastic with brake fluid. In recent years I use PB blaster. Will have to try RNG's mix.
Good Morning All.

Don, I buy groceries at the wallyworld in College Station, but taxable goods here. You got a deal! Are there any more?

There were two left. End of row facing back wall by paint. ( A good Christmas gift for your son to start him on his set of tools.) On their website I see they are discontinuing them so another Walmart may have them on clearance also.

70°F this morning, going up to 82°, with a slight chance for rain this afternoon. Front should be coming through tomorrow, bringing rain and temperatures more appropriate to the season (88° yesterday!).

Like Ron, I'm trying to decide if I should go ahead and mow today, or wait until it's cooler on Thursday (not that low 80s is all that bad).

Beautiful day here at Mossflower, again.

Thing are definitely looking up! I accepted a new position yesterday back where my career should be and I'm very excited to start this new chapter and see what lies ahead. I last had a really good job end of May 2014...

I used the Kioti and a framing hammer to demo an old shed that the roof had caved in (and we did not know!) That tractor remains my favorite tool.

Y'all be good now.
David
