Happy Thanksgiving guys! I hope all you guys heal up quickly. I have a Echo backpack blower, its been excellent, and my Echo saw is my go to chainsaw. I can start that little thing anytime. My Sthil requires a religious ceremony to get started...

Good morning! 43˚ sunny heading to 71˚ calm winds, days don't get much better than this.

The Family is getting together at Mom's at noon. I got my "special" food cooked to compliment her's and it looks good, especially the sweet potato pie. (plant based, no sugar, or oils).
One of my late brother's friend, who also has heart disease and also does not eat a plant based diet, ask me if I was "happy" with my diet at my brother's funeral. The question kind of stumped me. Immediate happiness is being able to eat as much of any kind of food you want, but prolonged happiness is eating the nutritious food your body needs and not eating the food that you know will cause a slow death and make everyone you love sad. So my final answer is yes, I am truly happy to eat this "special" way. Actually, with the right recipes there is no feeling of being restricted.
Happy Happy Thanksgiving all.

Happy Thanksgiving fellow tractor drivers!

You too. Lot to be thankful for despite the challenges of life.

Don, you are eloquent and speak from the heart. And you have changed my eating habits. When I went shopping for burgers, I brought home some 80/20 but also veggie burgers and salmon burgers. Maybe evolution, not revolution, sort of dilution is the solution. And as long as my numbers stay in the right range, I'm going to enjoy meat. It's the carbs and sugars that are so hard for me, and so seductive. But I am confident that if I ate like you do, I would live longer. And be sick less, though thankfully I literally never get sick. Get my flu shots and annual exams.
But I look at those numbers on the page in front of me right now, and i think, you could do a lot better.
So I am thankful for your help on Thanksgiving Day.
And I remain sorry that you lost your brother. I have two and can only imagine. And don't want to.

Only a tractor guy would say 5/8, everyone else would round it to the nearest 1/2 inch.:D

You want to see something slow, try watching a machinist build something out of 2x4's...or structural metal.

And, today is the long awaited day to play....

You can get anything you want at Alice's restaurant..

Family tradition. My cousin played it for us last Saturday on his guitar. Now my 6 year old boy is singing the refrain...
Just walk right in, it's around the back,
just a half a mile from the railroad track,
You can get anything you want at Alice's Restaurant.

Prayers for all or y'all to have a blessed and Happy Thanksgiving! (and your fingers heal up).

Some close friends are about to have a baby at any moment.
My wife and I are leaving for the football game about 4pm. 3rd level up high on the 35 yard line. Will take binoculars.
I need to mow the yard this morning. Waiting for the dew to dry up.
We actually cooked the turkey and de-boned it last night. We are trying something new. We put the meat in a fresh oven bag after cooking it in an oven bag. I spooned plenty of juice over it to hopefully keep it moist. We plan on heating it up around 11 am for an earlier than normal meal time of noon.

Happy Thanksgiving to all you guys! We should look around the table today and be thankful for what we see, next year may bring an empty chair, maybe ours, so God bless what we have.

That is correct, first Thanksgiving was on the James River in Virginia, beautiful spot as well. I too am tuned in waiting for Arlo and Alice.

Kyle you made me laugh. My grandfather was a machinist. Growing up if I was given a board length it was always checked after cutting. Only to learn that I normally missed the required length by 1/32. His tape measure was in 1/16. He'd estimate the 1/32. Now I hear, how many thousands that fraction converts to. It drives him nuts for me to say close enough.

Good luck with the .

Good Morning! 41F @ 7:00AM. Mostly sunny. High 52F. Winds light and variable.

Good day for driving, and I'm headed south to a friend's for Thanksgiving dinner. He's got a lot to be thankful for, having lasted 18 months past his pancreatic cancer diagnosis. We're all pretty thankful for that.

One look at the news and it's easy to find a ton of things to be thankful for in this out of kilter world. We just don't spend the time to do it regularly, saving it all up for turkey day.:confused2:

What a day for a sing along!

Have a great one, gang!
