18 here, not going to get much better. Weather folks say 40's next week. Freezing rain, single digit temps, then to 40's , nice weather to get our share of mud. I wonder why folks leave for warmer places...

Buppies, good luck with the skin cancer. My neighbor had it, said it the "fair haired farmboy disease".

He made it 90, the cancer didn't get him, a stroke did. I guess something has too.

B safe guys!

oh it's going to be fun to say this....71 degrees going up to 77, no snow here!!
Almost did not get into the campground site, horrible tiny site with a tree at the end, back in, took me 8 tries with the trailer skidding around, thankfully I have the big hitch on and nothing bent but the site is a postage stamp.
However....behind me is a Lauderdale canal, filled with about ten boats, none worth less than three million, mostly new Italian Ferrettis in the 80 to 100 foot range. Other than trying to camp in Palm Beach this is probably some of the priciest real estate you could put an rv campground on, and they sure did skimp on the site sizes to cram as many units in here. It's a rabbit warren, sure hope I don't scrape the rv getting out of here. Most of rv's are year rounders, least expensive place to live in a town where rents are through the roof.

I'm up earlier than I want to be...off to the Stuart boat show. My friends want to buy a new boat and having been a yacht broker I'm being brought along maybe for a good cop bad cop routine. I think they should buy something comfortable they will all enjoy for years, particularly Mom but the boys want a 60mph fish boat when neither of them have ever gone fishing in their life...I told my friend if he spends a couple hundred grand on a boat with a porta potti in it, don't plan on taking me out into the ocean with it. Getting too old for this...and in my own case, way too sore from arthritis. My good friend, you aren't 30 any more, despite wanting to be...we both were in the same high school graduating class and he always wanted to go fast. 396 Chevy II's (now Toppop would have liked a ride in that one) and other muscle cars, and he introduced me to boating in his Formula speed boat that went 72 mph. I didn't like going fast but I sure liked the boating. Hooked, with a big hook.

time to get moving, you all have a fine day. Taking lots of pics, just can't figure out how to send them with Chromebook.

In the late 1980's I drove to Bradenton to buy a 77 mph Donzi Z/33 and I'd never been Don Johnson before! :D A good friend of mine in Elizabeth City had a 1970 396/375/4 speed Nova. That was twisted ride!

67 yesterday, 57 now but dropping into the 40's later today, may get an ice storm but I'm hoping not. Two of the cats are sacked out and snoring, makes me want a nap!
Lynn says thanks for the birthday wishes!
I'm still truck looking, I came close to buying that diesel Colorado until I felt jerked around, they don't understand I'm not thirty and all excited, I can wait until I'm happy with the deal. I'm riding just fine.
I have wild onions popping up and trees are budding, despite it getting to 0 and 2 last weekend. Hoping for an early spring, but then I always do!:D

Not sure what I'll get into today.

Be safe
Have a great day

8F this morning, wife making road trip today to pickup beef. She is taking grand daughter with her and her friend (that is buying half) is bringing her daughter, only 4 seats in Tahoe so I am staying home and working... have plenty to do. My wife strained her back and I was hoping to drive her, but she will do fine.

Sorry Buppies on the cancer, but glad they are getting it before it worsens.

Happy Birthday to those with birthdays.

Sorry for those getting ice storms, I really don't like those, had a bad accident the last big one we had.

RNG, glad you got your internet going. I was so happy when we changed providers and went from 512Kb to 5Mb, but then after a few weeks, that seemed slow, ISP upgraded us to 10Mb and it was very fast, but now seems slow...

It is easy to use a bunch of data with the higher speeds. We use 200-300Gbs per month, the higher months are when I have to reimage work computer (sync OneDrive) or download updated recover image (16GBs). Our grand daughter loves some shows on Netflix so that adds up with us watching Netflix and Amazon videos.

Happy Birthday Lynn!

I had not read all the post, you guys were throwing me for a loop. I thought, no one here knows when my birthday is.

My name is Lynn and my birthday was yesterday. I'm only 54 though. Spent the day riding my snowmobile in some of the best snow I've seen in at least six years.

Happy Birthday!

Some of the best snowmobiling I have had the pleasure of was east of Salt Lake, rented some monster sleds and rode for hours on their groomed trails and some freestyle in the meadows in deep powder.

Kyle, the weeds are sprouting like gang busters with all this rain we've been havin'. Looks like I'll be out pullin' 'em out for a while over the weekend, which is supposed to be sunny.

Woohoo new faster internet and more gigs! RNG, there's probably a Cali law against it, but have you considered getting some hybrid grass seed that is drought tolerant and throwing a little out? I planted a type of bermuda grass in my lawn, but there are better more expensive grasses out there. Give it time and it should creep and fill.

Dueling happy belated birthdays Lynns! Ron and Looking4new must have psychopathic powers to know catfever's name...what are the odds of that?

Thank you all,

Hawkeye, east of SLC (wolf creek pass) is where I ride most of the time. I do not ride trails, I head straight for the steep and deep. Like I said earlier, it was phenomenal. Hope the snow keeps coming. For those who like to ski, this would be the year to book a trip to Utah.

Happy Birthdays Lynns.

Hottest day of the year and the warmest January 13th in the last hundred or so years. 82˚

Kyle, are you in need of an Arlington baseball stadium seat. Free. I'll post a pic later. You may sell it, I'm just going to throw it away.

I for one am delighted to have a lady back in this thread. And one who likes tractors and playing in the snow.
And a birthday girl to boot. All good.

hour and a half drive back to the rv tonight down utterly insane Miami corridor traffic on rt 95. It's like all the world is funneling down into that area and the seven lanes of traffic, plus it was Friday night plus all the lanes were dumped into two thanks to a bad wreck over on the right side. Lots of fire trucks, wreckers flying by. As we crept along for miles and miles.
then when past the wreck the highway totally opened up and now this was almost worth the wait.
All these ticked off wealthy playboys in their powerful European sports cars were out of there like a shot out of cannon. It was like a license was given for some race car start. An SRT Challenger of some high order just wailed down the road. A Bentley Continental coupe blew past my heavy truck (actually I think it weighs almost as much) and someone had that thing floored. Late for dinner I'm sure. Just a great deal of horsepower in a hurry, and this the land of exotic cars. Tomorrow I'm going to drive through Palm Beach with my friends and see how the other 5% live. The ultra rich. There I should see a lot more interesting cars. At least half of these things are driven by women, this is the land of the Latin girl friend with Papa's Mercedes. I think that Bentley that sucked my doors off was probably driven by an older lady. Attagirl use that 500+hp.

Long, long day, all day on my feet, that part not good, but the boat show was fun, the weather perfect 77 degrees and sunny and we went out on a boat ride over to the dealer to look at another boat, they offered the boat ride and we sure took it. Never went on plane, I didn't care, marvelous to be out on the water on a warm day. I begged off dinner with my friends and came back, just tired and pretty sore. But quite happy to have had a wonderful day with friends despite the horrible traffic in this area. You would be amazed to see how much traffic there is going into Miami in the middle of the night. Nonstop traffic 24/7 really does feel like the continent is funneling into here, all headed for Key West I suppose. actually pretty quiet back in this rv campground, I can hear Routes 1, 95 and 84 but it's muted, I'm pretty far back in the campground.

More adventures tomorrow. Maybe I'll figure out how to post pics tomorrow.
this is the land of conspicuous consumption. I'm always glad to leave and go home, but the proverbial
fun place to visit.

this is too long sorry.
