Some of us might be annoying others, not a perfect world.
Several of us are very wordy. I'm a frustrated college professor I think. For which
I apologize if I am up on some kind of soapbox, probably a mental dais of some kind...For the record...years ago I asked if this was a problem and was told no. Just no politics (I have to tell you I cringe now every time I open up cnn.com and see the headlines...RNG, you aren't alone in being concerned) which belongs you know where, if your skin is tough and you like a mosh pit atmosphere. No one wants that here. This is a place we come to say hello, electronically shake hands, and talk over coffee, all day long. We share our accomplishments and sorrows.
I have learned an incredible amount from TxDon here on better eating habits,
and constantly wondered what the world looked like through Mostly's goggles whizzing along
or through RNG's windshield as he goes through some mountain pass.
And who could forget RS's building the Eiffel Tower, the long progression of welded gizmos
which he built into all kinds of things. One year we worried he was going to freeze, next year we worried if his commercial building's
pipes were going to freeze, and I think his explaining what he was going through really helped others.
I also remember reading this thread on a laptop when my wife spent almost 200 days in the hospital, and I got through it by
distracting myself with dreams of vegetables growing and machinery to run. And how early Roy was getting up. And whether he
got to work ontime due to the ice, which I was very glad I wasn't driving on. And I'm sure David/Sodamo felt the same way.
And whether David/Mossflower would smile again, which he sure did, as he weathered
the pain of a divorce with kids. And living with all those women...such a lucky man, even if his snow plow truck is on its last legs.
Over time you learn a lot here. Some of the big posts should probably have had their own threads. Ok.
I try to contribute by posting pictures and perhaps when I get it right making a picture with words.
that's hard to abbreviate...
I blame my verbosity on not owning a smart phone. Never had to text, never had to abbreviate. LOL...
Oh, we should avoid religion too...religion and politics really do stir up the works. And our coffee has already been stirred...
RNG, open that chromed lever of knowledge you have...drops of weather aren't enough.
Weather? you bet. But the other stuff is better...as long as the owners don't mind us eating up terrabytes, and the OP doesn't mind, I think the diversity in this thread is what makes it last. And be the biggest I think. Although discussions of motor oil must come close. Men and their motor oil. Even bigger than Green vs Orange.
