Good morning! 69˚ heading to 91˚ fog in the low areas this morning.
Thanks for the info on the battery tester. I saw this tester on Amazon: Amazon.com: Quicklynks BA11 Battery Tester 1 ~ 2 Cold Cranking Amps 12V Battery Load Tester Directly Test Battery Status: Automotive
It looked pretty idiot proof, and I'm suspecting the cold cranking test listed is the same a load test. Right?
All you need is one like this.
Will test anything you will need to check. Except for a hydrometer. That will check if the acid is good in battery. Many batteries are sealed today and cannot check it.

Morning all. Decent night of sleep, have phone alarms set for all the medication times. I have medicine bottles set up in order of taking, next one gets moved to the front. It looks like a checker game, but all white pieces.

Starting to eat a little. Wonder how much weight i lost by not eating.

Hope everyone else has a good day.

The low this morning was 44*, yesterday high was 80*. The next few days are going be cooler with a good chance of rain. Today's high is going to be in the low 70* with overnight lows in the the high 30*.

The weekly trip to town and help a neighbor with some stuff if it doesn't rain are plans for today.

Hope everyone has a nice day.

Thanks everyone, lots of elbow grease yes but still ended up with new paint. It is a Marlin Taurus powered by a (new) Chevy 454 and the drive is a Berkeley added a rudder to help it steer at low speed and hydraulic/electric trim. Ended up only using the original gas peddle and windshield. Unfortunately didn't make it into the water until last week so short season this year. Have not opened it up yet with the new motor but my son told me he had it up to 50 when trimmed at about 4500 rpm.

My next project is a Ford 2N, I think 1939 as soon as I can get it out of the storage shed I will post some photos. It was my uncles hasn't run in years. Will be looking for recommendations from the vast amount of knowledge here👍🏻.
Have mother in law visiting from the sunshine state until she hears how her condo made out in Bonita Springs, I know there is no power and roads are a mess but she is safe that's what counts.

A friend had a black Marlin jet boat like that one, it was a small block and ran about 50. It had great manners. My Sleekcraft 19' jet was a lot of fun, not as fast as my Donzi but still sitting that low at near 70 feels like 100.

57°F and foggy this morning, going up to 88° today. Looks like we're back to the "around 90-ish" temps for the next week or so here.

Nice looking work there, DABSGT.

70°F and no rain.

Mow the dogs' area this morning, but haven't thought beyond that.

Be safe
Have a great day.

I was just looking at that one also. Thanks.

100 Amp load isn't really high enough to test an automotive battery. The Harbor Freight tester I posted yesterday goes to 500 Amps, and has worked for everything I've used it on. Very inexpensive, especially if you use a coupon.

Hi hope all are having a good day I have some catching up to do here.
Don't know how many remember me talking about redoing a 1973 jet boat or remember this photo

Well look at her today took almost 21/2 years and lots of time and $ but here she is today

Very nice DABS. I have a friend helping another friend rebuild an old '76 jet boat. The engine is getting built. It will be a 454 bored and stroked to a 496. Not sure if they'll supercharge it or not. Also not sure if the pump will get massaged.

Speaking of pumps. (Mike's pump and speed in Houston). I was down in Houston today. Saw plenty of piles of furniture, mattresses, carpeting, sheet rock etc piled up on front lawns. That's going to be a nightmare to get rid of. But there was still plenty of traffic. I'm glad I don't have to deal with that traffic every day.

Good evening all. 63F this morning, light wind mostly clear sky. Humidity rose through the day, high temp was 96F, and sky cleared off and stayed that way. This morning started helping wife, swept front porch, and this afternoon started on new plywood bottom for captain chair on boat. I think the guy who assembled th chair got paid by the staple. Since 2/3 of the plywood is already gone, will have to reverse engineer the chair for pattern.

63 right now...high in the low to mid 70's.

Oh boy! It's Friday!

Up too early this morning!
I bought a replacement desktop computer (not a laptop fan except for work), so I'm backing up files for transfer to the new PC. This is the first new computer I've bought in well over ten years...probably closer to fifteen. I normally build and rebuild them myself.
Anyway, I'll be going from XP (which isn't supported almost anywhere any more) to Windows 10. I use Windows 7 on my company laptop, so the learning curve shouldn't be too bad.
Reckon setting the new PC up will be my primary chore over the weekend...

Good morning. Another wet night, we keep having so many showers that the ground is starting to get saturated quite a way down. I've been to the local camp site this morning after being asked if I could come with the Iseki to pull out a van that was well and truly stuck. Quite nice to watch people's tentative smile turn first into apprehension as the tow line slowly tightens and then a big grin generally appears once they realise they are moving and have escaped an extended stay in the mud.

My Windows 10 computer screen looks almost the same as my 7 screen. If you have not done it. Left click on left side of bottom toolbar. Click on Desktop. Gets rid of all them silly Windows Boxes.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 53° with fog again this morning. Heading to 80° with mostly sunny skies. Got garage power washed. Looks much better this time. As I was finishing got a call from Orthodontics. They had a cancellation for wife to get a root canal on a tooth that has been bothering her for a couple of weeks. Took rest of the day to get that done. Local Rural King stores is across the street. Went shopping while waiting. Picked up a few things that I just could not do without. Always like to look over the guns they have on display. Need to make another trip up there for wife in a couple of weeks. Will take extra money with me. Nothing on my list for today. Probably should put tools away from last few days of projects.
Good Morning All.

62 and cloudy, going to 83.

Nice day yesterday...cutting more firewood and mowing...been like a broken record this week.

Son came in late last night to visit and sleep on the way to DC. I was already asleep, so will spend time with him this morning.

Then more firewood and mowing :).

Roy, congrats on the new PC. I'm still using my youngest son's hand me down laptop...at least 10 years old...but works great.
