The two places that we've found so far that are really decent are:

"Bear's Smokehouse Barbecue in Windsor. It's cafeteria style. They serve on trays. High volume. There's almost always a long line, but the indoor seating is huge tables everywhere. The line is always moving. Beer is cold plastic cups.

Little Mark's Big Barbecue in Vernon. It's a full service bar restaurant. Beer is cold.

I'd post the links, but I do not know if that's allowed.

I forgot to mention the place we went to yesterday did not have "Burnt Ends" ready to serve

Just got back from the store. Picked up some Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce. And A Rib-Eye, some Chicken, lots of Fish, some Kale, lots of Potatoes and BEER.

Wonder where I got the BBQ idea from?

BTW, I am an all-weather Charcoal Grill meister. And tonight, I fire her up again!

Riptides- I too am a year round lump charcoal burner. Weather or temperature has never been a reason to abort the "mission." After the driveway, turnabouts, and around as much of the house possible (slope & trees) is cleared of snow. I clear out around my Big Green Egg.

I don't think I've ever heard it said quite that way, but that's been my experience when I was a police officer. I don't think I ever handled an "attempt suicide" in which the (victim?) seriously attempted to kill himself/herself. The actual suicides that succeeded were always people who had never "attempted" before. But I'm sure there's some exceptions to that.

Very true I have not only experienced that but also taught it to recruits when I taught at academy.
Bird how many times did you have the call from someone who made the serious attempt only to call for help after changing there mind only after an unsuccessful attempt? 3 come to mind after their aim was off 2 unfortunately didn't make it died waiting for transport the third was when I worked on the ambulance, picked him up after putting a 22 round in his head and weeks later I also transported him to Psy hospital where all he kept saying was " I can't even do that right"

My son is now in law enforcement in Vernon I'll have to have him check it out! He is a Barbecue fan I'm suppressed he hasn't said any thing about it, he usually heads to a bbq in Middletown.

For those of us not from the South, that first experience with authentic Southern Sweet Tea is a real eye opener. :shocked:

Don't be fooled. At big events that serve free tea (like our 1200 people VFD fish fry) half prefer the unsweetened iced tea.

Picked up some Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce.

I've been using KC Masterpiece Original Sauce for a long time, but I've noticed in Walmart at least, for some time now, they have a lot more Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce than any other brand. Of course they also have several different flavors or versions. Anyway, I finally tried one of them; don't remember which one now, but I don't believe I could tell a bit of difference in the taste of the Sweet Baby Ray's and the KC Masterpiece.
