My wife recommends Aveeno eczema therapy moisture balm. Worked great for itchy dry skin on her legs...her dermatologist recommended.
Wife likes Gold bond ultimate skin therapy cream.

The biggest issues with dry skin are dehydration, number one by far, and not putting lotion on often enough. If your skin is real dry you need at least twice the water you’re drinking and lotion needs to be applied 6-10 times a day for the first week or so. Best way to start therapy is a thin lotion applied 2-3 times in an hour then follow with high viscosity stuff like Gold Bond or Corn Huskers. Then wean off to just a normal lotion several times a day. But if you drink enough water you won’t have near the problems.

I've been suffering with really dry skin...bad enough to go to the doctor's. He prescribed prednisone and Benadryl as well as using baby lotion after my morning shower. Hasn't seemed to help much. My skin on my neck, lower back and arms is red and itchy to the point of painful. The skin is also wrinkled....almost like I'm turning reptilian (or The Elephant Man!).
Any recommendations?

Roy find a good dermatologist. It could be something as simple as an allergy or as serious as Stevens-Johnson syndrome.

Toppop consuming 12 to 14 bottles of water a day until you said that it can help with dry skin never put two and two together. Only during our really cold snap did my skin feel dry and I used udder cream for about two days. The SE and Mid Atlantic are in for a lot of rain the next two weeks

Those cars sound interesting hopefully you find what you want

Drew when you get done you can come plant some trees at my place

Roy the udder cream works well for me and for muscles and aches Two Old Goats cream really hits the spot

Thomas don't overdo it and yes you will keep getting snow ice for a while

I don’t know much, but my wife gave me a lot of info that I use daily.
I forgot about Udder Cream, it’s very good, I need to get some for my hands, I wash them so many tines a day plus the sanitizer, keeps them feeling like sandpaper.

48 this morning and that’s the high for today. Rain showers all day. Front is basically stalled on top of us. Keeping heavy rain south. Flood watches out SE of here up to 3 inches for those folks. Guess the river will rise. The river a couple of miles from the house drains that area.

Replacing 9 heaters in the chicken coops today. I will have replaced all heaters in the last 14 months now. One less thing that needs constant maintenance. Well for a few years atleast. Then may go shoe shopping. My foot has blown through the outside of my slip on work boots and my rubber boots have cracked.

Any opinions on Muck boots? I’ve always worn Lacrosse but have been looking at Muck lately.

Roy. This is about the only thing that works for me. O'Keeffe's Hard Working Skincare(R) | Guaranteed Relief for Extremely Dry, Cracked Skin I have both the squeeze bottle and tub. My problem is when I wear gloves, doesn’t matter what brand or insulated or not, my hands get dry fast. Jersey style gloves bother me the least.

We had a trailblazer that headlights would dim and then rebrighten. No set schedule just random. Talked to several mechanics around and they said trailblazers just did that and they didn’t know why.

Good luck.

Looks like a low of 22* this morning, the high yesterday was in the low 50's. A cold front dropped down over night . So it's going to be colder and windy but not much chance of snow. Mid 30's for the high and overcast.

My neighbors wife called and wants some help moving stuff around in their garage. I asked her if that was a good idea with her husband not bing there. She said he would just have to live with it when he gets back. She has hired a guy to help work on it. I know more less how he wanted it done so I'll go up and help. That way I can tell him where everything is. And he can move it when he gets back.

Hope everyone has a good start on the weekend.
CWB.

prayers for the families of the 16 servicemen lost in that refueling plane crash in Mississippi.
Made quite a fire on the ground, live pictures of flames online now
Sad, and a huge loss to so many families.

We should never take these folks for granted.
Every one of them is someone's son or daughter.
And hugely valuable. I'm sorry for the loss to their families
and pay my respects to those who risk their lives for us.

Got the fuel tank assembled. Going to be very little lifting of fuel cans in my future. Pumped a 5 gallon can of diesel into tank in less than a minute. Will send it out to tractor just as fast. But there is no need to pump that fast. I bought a bigger one than I originally posted. It holds 5 gallons more and has 4 wheels instead of 2 big ones.
