Wind has me up waaaaay early, Woke at 2 to half hour if 49+ gusts, settled down for a while and mid it’s back. 42 mph gust a few minutes ago. Forgot to bungee the trash wheeler lid when I put it out last night and didn’t put the other one in the garage. I miss my reminder person. I would have gone out and gone out at 2 when Lynn was here but if something happens by myself and nobody to call anyone I’d be in trouble. Who knows what kind of mess there is? Oh well, life goes on.

Good morning. I was pleasantly surprised to find all alive and well this morning. The wind has been brutal, gusting higher than expected yesterday and throughout the night. Where the sheep are at the moment is very exposed, however moving them would also make it more likely for the lambs to get separated from mothers without me seeing them. Best I have been able to do is make low level windbreaks out of any heavy pieces of timber I could find, old rotted off gateposts still have their uses.

Freedom, thought of you when I was having to carry out water this morning to frozen troughs - hope your pipes thaw soon.

Please say thanks to your daughter Kyle for treating us to another of her paintings.
Ask her about the bird tattoo.
Trust your eagle eyes to have spotted that Don  Wonder if pictures-in-pictures will be a signature theme for the future ?

good morning all. This is quite a windstorm, reaching all the way over to England!

woke up to blinking lights, power went off at some point and I slept through it, vents to
dryer and stove clattering like mad, multiple windchimes on the porch going into orchestral overdrive, ding ding ding ding ding
and oh geez, Toppop, you reminded me I didn't bring the trash can in. Sitting on pavement too, with wheels.

51 degrees and a clear day, but something tells me I'm going to be on stick duty for awhile.
All the pine trees were about a week out from exploding in pollen. Am glad we didn't add wind to that, my house would turn solid yellow.
Actually my next door neighbor going into the p/t powerwashing business is a fine thing in this mold and pollen mix.

Just hoping when I make my golf cart rounds this morning no big tree limbs are down.
And those poor snow peas out in that field, trying to hang onto that green fuzzy twine, with those tiny little tendrils.
I'll be happy if they didn't snap.
and of course it would be nice if my new phone booth, one holer, aka the new garden shed..., hasn't blown over into the beets.
It's at least 300 pounds, and I put some weight in the bottom. ?
Yup, this morning's "rounds" should be interesting.

be safe up North, watch for downed wires.

Kyle, please tell your daughter she got hundreds ? of compliments on her painting and we all think she should be proud of herself.
Or however you translate that...
Honestly you put a smile on every face here.

that pic could be on the cover of FFA magazine.

Good morning all, 38 this morning going to 47 with a high wind warning until 6am sat. Highest speed on the weather station is 24, we are pretty sheltered here. Ended up running errands for the 2nd day in a row, maybe today I can take it easy.

Kyle, Great news, great pic, you should be proud. I know a man that was the principal of the largest elementary school in his state and he was dislexic. Did a good job too from what I hear. Your daughter can do a lot too. Great job dad.

Prayers for RIP and those in need. Ed

30F snowing now low 40's for high.
Once again Buppies nail this forecast,we're on the border 1-3 or 3-6 inches snow plus .50+ rain mix...talk about sloppy mess, than winds 20-30 mph gust even higher at times, but the good news it's Friday. :dance1:

Well I better have my English muffin think about heading down to valley for 8 hours.

Enjoy the day all.

Just had my English muffin, and working on my 2nd cup of coffee. I am waiting until daylight to deal with snow. I'll withhold judgement on the day until that is over...:(

Edit: I just checked the forecast. 41 for the high. I'm gonna pretend it never happened.

Need to pour second cup of coffee. 29° with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 39° with some clouds. Got a little over 12" of snow since yesterday morning. Lost power for over 6 hours. Nice to have a whole house generator. But that did not help our Comcast service. It was out until 6 am. Plowed walkways and drive. Nasty wet sticky snow. Wind may cause more power and cable problems. Tree branches are drooping like we had a ice storm. Off to PT this morning. See if anybody shows up there.
Our road is pretty clear. Since they use salt brine to keep the dust down. It also melts snow quickly.

Kyle, I got one on Don. I knew it was goat. But did not see the bird. Tell Finley great picture.

Drew, hope your outhouse is still standing this morning. You need to get Kyles daughter to do a mural paint job on it for you.

Hope all those in the path of storm that pasted by here stay safe.

Prayers for all in need.

Good Morning All.

Boy...pretty slick drive in...all you folks in the path of this storm, do take it easy and be safe!

Thomas...good day to stay home!

44 and windy going to 44mph. Should see temp rise to 54. So far, nothing has blown away.

Nice to come to the TBN and be welcomed by great art by Finley, and poetry by Buckeye.

Getting ready to empty the hot ashes/small coals from the bottom drawer of the woodstove and take to my ash pit/volcano. I think I'll put on safety glasses since they will blow. If the ground wasn't wet, I'd have to wait.

Yep, Kyle, that young lady has a real talent. My paternal grandmother did some great oil paintings, our eldest daughter was a pretty fair artist . . . . . and I'm lucky if I can draw a straight line with a ruler.

Wind is howling
Schools are closed
How long it lasts
Nobody knows

Eric's sheep are on their own
A goat with birds, who would have known
While others make it safe to work
Here i sit upon my throne

/ Good morning!!!! #71,616
Bird, you and me both. The art teacher looked at me and just shook his head.

49 degrees, feels like 42, winds today out of WNW 25-35mph.
Two inches of rain yesterday, a good soaking so nothing needs watering.
Good time to pull weeds.
I do have some leftover rv earth augers I could really tie that shed down with but
I'm sure it's fine. Next time one of my fireman helpers are here, I'll get them to do it.
Takes some real arm strength to get them in, easier coming out.
And then my shed will be "wind rated"....which is about all they did to certify my rv carport, put some earth augers in.

A foot of snow, easy goes it Ron and others. And Roy get home safely.

Good morning! 49˚ feels like winter is still trying to hang on but the winds will change this afternoon and it will be a warm sunny 70˚.

Had the Septic tank sucked out yesterday and it was actually wasted money. The combination of no oil, plant based plus the different type of veggie gut flora, we now have made for a pleasant septic tank. No overwhelming smell and very little accumulation on the bottom. We should market our gut microbes. Anybody want to buy some _________.

Ok. OK. I have heard everything...

22 and looking at a high of 30. Wind N 10 mph. 30% chance of flurries.

I haven't got much planned for today. I will change out the cards in the game cameras and see what they picked up. I had changed the resolution on both of them to high, from the medium setting that they were, so we will see.

Have a good day all.

Well, this flagpole has survived a tropical storm but was no match for what my anemometer just said was a 71 mph gust. I guess there’s a new flagpole in my near future, also lost a piece of siding on back of the garage. IMG_0170.JPGIMG_0169.JPG
