RNG- Given Hazel's young age it probably is not a dementing process, but there is a clear pattern of perceptual field deficits, loss of bowel/battery control, and periods of disorientation and confusion. More likely to be symptomatic of delirium; possible etiology- an underlying infected battery or transient connections. Or we may be seeing an emergent severe characterological disorder with anti-social and passive aggressive tendencies with episodic periods of regressive acting out. Have you noticed any self injurious behaviors?

Ed- "Panting" is really not good. There is "bad stuff" going on. The aides you talk to may be honest/accurate in their reports, but you really need to talk to the shift charge nurse, Director of Nurses (if needed) and ask about her "vital signs" and other stuff. She still reads to be really sick. Hang in there.
