Melons were popping up, fun to watch like the beans.
Real UN here, funny that Russian melon popped up first.
Probably was doped...

by late afternoon half of these melons had come up.
Always interesting to see what germinates and what doesn't.

unexpected frost last night killed a lot of cucumbers and other plants that likely shouldn't have been planted this early.
Onions, cabbage, snow peas seem not to care, and even the beans are popping out of the ground.

Good evening all. 54F this morning, clear sky gusty south wind. Wind kept up today, sky stayed mostly clear, and high temp was 79F. Men's meeting, bike ride, and upholstery removal getting ready for rebuilding the wood. Also did 1 hour consulting tonight for work.

Made it to 65 today. Currently 54. 78 tomorrow.

Got all feed down and heaters on for birds tomorrow. Get all 4 barns filled tomorrow. All windows and fans are installed. Finally. Crew finished today. One guy has to come back tomorrow for warranty work. One of the fans had a bad motor. We checked the wiring by wiring in another fan and it worked.
With all fans running I should be moving around 230,000 cfm per barn. Birds shouldn’t know it ever gets hot outside.

Had 15 of 96 2x4’s left over. Maybe 20 screws out of 25 pounds. Glad I didn’t follow contractors estimates of 60 2x4’s and 15 pounds of screws.

Will have to change our tunnel curtains next layout. Then upgrades will be done.
