Good morning, just about the same here in Western Wa.

Of course the concept of a chrome New Jersey diner might be a bit foreign for Lightleader if he lives in Venice. (update: well Western Washington is close...)
I wonder what the name of a diner is in foreign lands. Something more than restaurant, a gathering spot.

Am pretty sure that is/was uniquely American. Until it was duplicated by chain nostalgia stores around the globe.

Were there chrome diners in Texas in the 50's or was that an East Coast thing?

started to thunder and rain pretty hard. I got the peas and beans picked, and weeded until the thunder started.
Probably inside for the day. If it does stop it will be so humid out not sure I want to go out.
Got a little mowing down this morning too, enough to be an afternoon slacker with a clean conscience...

86F clear w/slight wind.

Out the door at day break cut clean 3 big spruces cause by wind damage.
Pickup had appointment for recall on starter shield,long 2 hour wait.
Take the rest of the day as it comes.

Got to 90 here according to the thermometer. My parents are in Florida, and it’s 80 down there....��

Worked at the shop today, putting weed lock down under the deck / ramp area. Hot, nasty job with a very little headroom. Then cleaned out the a/c heat exchangers, then did a repair on a downspout. I was going to mow the grass, but decided that was enough. I was dripping wet, after about 3 hours of work. And tired.

many grasses gone to seed, wheat getting heads, lots and lots of pollen out there.. only takes a few minutes to make me miserable. I need to hook up sprayer and get a load ready to spray lawn and around shop when it is cool and still.
