I'm done too...lot of weeding, and a bit of harvesting. Picked a bunch of small onions that didn't look like they would make it long term, tops
had gone all brown. Good for some recipe with small onions, plus I picked the first of the little red cippolini onions to try. They say to cut them in half and fry in a pan.
That I'll try tonight, then on the barbecue next.

One look at blackberry bush and whoa, bonanza time. just plain delicious
now here's where I'd love to have Don make a really healthy cobbler out of these

I’m done for the day. Got chipper cleaned up and running. Took pictures. Still need decide where to list it. That’s all I got done today. Been raining all day. Can’t find all the parts to put LED’s up.

Those would make a most excellent cobbler Drew.
93 with a heat index of 100 finished using all the batteries on the EGO and the yard looks great. Got some patio swivel rockers to watch the golfers and just in time. A golf ball came. Punching in the yard and a little while later a bad golfer came looking for it only to be driven away by Whipper’s first two barks. That makes ball#9.

Such bounty, Drew
You are definitely reaping the rewards of your labors (labours, Eric)

So, Buckeye, if I take up golf, how many balls do I need to finish 18 holes starting out?

Lol, one per hole on par 4, maybe 2 on par 5.

Im about done. Had a church meeting this morning, then came home and trimmed some trees, and hauled branches to the pile, sprayed large ant hill in yard, sprayed roundup and mixed more.

Telephone guy fixed landline, been out over a week. He said squirel got into a box mile and half down road.

Son finished mowing yard, but mower engine shut down twice, like it's not getting fuel.

Cleaned carb on tiller, still won't start. Drained and put in new gas. Going to get a new plug, it has the original, probably over 20 yrs old. Might go get one tonight.

Whipper looks mighty happy
seems quite content with his new home

now to cook some home grown potatoes and beans for dinner, and frying up some baby onions
really ought to get a chuck roast and put it all in a slow cooker.

You have a hard boss but I'm sure you will find a soft side to him too if you keep looking. Keep asking nicely while you are on light duty and I'm sure he can come up with a way for you to take it a little easier longer term ;) . Hope you feel better soon. Did the chickens appreciate the extra windows ?

Kyle, that sounds like a fun fishing party, you are a braver man than me to take so many fishing at once ! You did well if they all got home without unplanned ear piercings. :)

The chickens never said one way or another. But I will say I am enjoying the extra light.

Yeah Kyle. Your a braver man than me.

Mowing pretty much done, a bit of weed whacking around the coconut tress yet. Pigs sure did a number and ground so wet it really looks terrible where I attempted to flail it more level, but as wife says, It’ll grow back.

Whipper looking right at home.

Glad to see whipper settling in. Hopefully her adopted people are doing the same. I have to say that having the expanse of a golf course in your backyard sure looks like you have acreage.

bought a full sized spare rim for my commuter car (Altima), it's been sitting in the barn for a while. We had a windy storm pass through, rained about .2" but it cooled down to 75F. I got out and put the full sized used tire I had on my spare rim and put it in the trunk. Getting the tire on the rim and beading up was a piece of cake compared to the 24" tractor's front R1 tire. that thing is a beast to use tire irons on and off. The cool off respite and breeze was nice while it lasted.

Put up the trailer after using it for a hay ride for yesterday's fishing fun.

I might run the kids out there again tonight to go fish again....maybe just 1 of them and myself.....which one is the question??? eeenie meenie miney moe...

One of the guests yesterday was holding one of the hens and another hen jumped up and seemed to attack her. I pushed them apart. Glad I was there. Strange situation. Once she put down the one she was holding, things went back to normal...Do chickens take up for each other in that manner?

I sent home a box (with my mother) of about 15-20 lbs of tomatoes, onions and some yellow squash. She is going to distribute it to our friends.

Good time at doggy play date. Kalani seemed a tad protective so she got to stay in the truck.
This is the yummy banana bread my sweet Sophie made.

39 right now...high in the lower to mid 70's...pretty much a repeat from yesterday
I think I'm done with the chipper (rigged to the tractor) for a bit and I do need to mow the field, so I'm going to swap implements today.
I picked up a Mojack hoist for my ZTR mower, and that needs to be assembled. Hope I do better with the hoist than I did with the grill a week or so back!

Boy! I glanced at my avatar after I posted this...joined TBN in November, 2001...17 years! It's hard to believe a forum lasted this long (and TBN was around before I joined)

65 going to 85, and probably another storm...Randy, I watched your storm go by...at one point it extended from north of me all the way out into the Atlantic east of you. Our storm came at 9pm and dropped 1.7".

Don, sounds like you are having a good harvest from your golf ball garden.

Drew, beautiful berries. Our wild ones won't be ready until July 4th +/-.

Forgot to go to what sounded like a great classic car show down in Richmond yesterday.

Buppies, I bet that was fun having your wife along.

David, yummy looking banana bread.

Poured second cup of coffee. 61° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 72° with cloudy skies all day. Even though it rained all day yesterday. We only got .26". Good for the freshly planted grass seed next door. Garden pond maintenance today. Trying to decide if replacing net over pond will be easier that trying to pick all the Maple Helicopters out of old one. Then a little NASCAR in afternoon.

Don, Whipper has moved in. Hard to believe that she would adapt to her new life after seeing how she lived at your old place. No more golf cart runs. How is she doing with leash walks.

Drew, the black berries look real good. Pour a little milk over them and enjoy. The wild ones in our field have just finished blossoming.

Good Morning All.
