What a lucky cat. I can't remember, did he move with you to Sun City?

Yes he did, but I think he misses the mice and gophers. He does like to sit on the patio and watch golfers and deer. Ok the sun is up the old folks can see me on my bike, need to take off now, the oven is preheating.

My cats are slouchers. I see them laying around right now out the window. They never venture to the front pass the drainage ditches. Too exposed I guess. Lol.

70 heading to 75. Suppose to be raining now or any minute now.

I don't know what is digging up the yard. All indications are a gopher. I have no experience with them, never saw one. Seems it could have picked a better spot though if it is after plants. All it is getting is grass. Thanks for the suggestions and humor, though.

Neighbor stopped by with his new 12 foot bat-wing yesterday. Made short work of the treeline and ditches. Sniff....I want one. LOL.

Hope all have a great w/e. Be safe.

This is what I use on gophers, very effective.

This is the bait I use.

My local feed store keeps it.

The low was 50* this morning, it was mostly overcast yesterday with a high in the high 80's. No rain yesterday but a 20% chance this afternoon with high a around 90*.

It wasn't to bad working on the trailer roof yesterday. I got the vents in and the tires off, I need new tires and some grease for the bearings.

Utah has a state holiday on the 24th. So we are getting a lot of weekenders up here for that. Had a lot of side by sides and 4 wheeler running around yesterday. Hope they are safe, we have a lot of blind corners in the subdivision. And a lot of them think faster is better.

Hope everyone's weekend goes well.
CWB.

Good Morning!!!! 73F @ 7:30AM. Sunny. High 94F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Thanks for the gofer baiter tip, Rick. Pouring the bait down the hole doesn’t seem to phase ‘em at all out here, so maybe that tool will do the trick. Actually saw one of the little suckers the other day. Dark gray, about four inches long. If it’s a mole, it’s the biggest one I’ve ever seen.

Be careful on that tractor, Andrew. Lots of good threads here on TBN cover the many ways to kill yourself with your tractor, and are well worth the time to read them...

Pulled the oil pan off the BMW engine yesterday and put the engine in the parts washer for a bath. Flushed solvent all through the thing, and got a cam shaft bearing running smoothly again. Should be able to get it mounted back in the frame today and start putting the charging and electrical components in place. Maybe even start cleaning the transmission case; not looking forward to that...

Nice breeze blowing up from the Sacramento River Delta yesterday had the temps in the low 90s by sunset, cool enough to sip one beer before retreating back into the A/C. Better enjoy it while we can, as we’re supposed to be back into 100+ by mid week.:fiery:

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

Interesting bike day. I was riding and saw a group of about 9 going in the opposite direction so I fell in behind them. It was the slow sun city group about 12 mph pace. They were going on a 20 mile ride. I tagged along for about 5 miles away from the neighborhood on some 55mph roads before I told them I had to get back to the neighborhood because I did not have any flat fixing equipment with me. My pace back was better feeling at 16mph. Handle bar mirror worked good. They all had bike shoes that clip to the pedals so thats my next shopping goal. Total today 14 miles. IMG_2183.JPG

Drew, from what I have seen when I was looking for my band saw the 9" ones are made to be disposable. From what I have found a cheep 14" saw is a much better tool than the best 9". :2cents: Craigs list is good too. Ed

Will mean getting a little Mantis tiller or something similar but
anything to reduce weeding for next year..

Drew, I bought the Mantis with the Honda engine because people recommended the "star" type tines for soils with rocks. My garden has rocks up to new potato size. I try to cull them out but they keep growing back. Anyway, if you don't have rocks, I'd recommend the Honda FG 110 with the curved tines. The knock against the Honda was the price of star tines if you wanted to change them out. The ergonomics are different between the Mantis and Honda. To each their own on this. I've thought about adapting a set of motorcycle handlebars with the throttle and kill switch because I'm used to motorcycle handlebars.

68°F and .72 inches rain.

No big plans for the day. More sort and purge in the workshop. Just about to point more purge than sort. Stopped in HD yesterday and picked up some paint remover, cashier commented about not seeing me in a while. I explained what I was doings and told her my visits would likely be less frequent now that I was organizing my own mini HD. Of course she suggested I should have a yard sale and just replace with new.
Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
