Finished school job just in time for school to start tomorrow

Drew improper prep is painting problem scale on steel not removed no primer failure to clean prior to painting with proper cleaning solutions lots of things not done to help keep the cost down. People all over complain of implements not being painted properly but same ones would complain about higher pricing to achieve the goal of a better paint job

Made it to 87 today.

Picked up truck Saturday. Still trying to figure out how happy I’m going to be with this new truck. Not just ram but all manufacturers have the same problem. The darn things are so high trailers aren’t hooking correctly. Can’t set level empty. Still waiting on new hitches so hopefully I can remedy this. Gooseneck is my biggest concern.

What is an acceptable distance between tail gate and neck? Currently at 9 inches without moving neck. But trailer will be self unloading.

It was an eventful trip. Water pump went out on old truck on way to dealership. Had to trade it in sitting in store parking lot. Didn’t even get to dealership. Traded it anyways.

Pictures later.

Woke up this morning to birds singing and the refreshing sensation of cool air squeezing itself through the slightly open window above us and gently falling onto our faces, while the rest of our bodies kept cosy under the duvet. If Max wasn't waiting for me to take him out I could have happily laid there another hour or two. I'm sure it won't be as peaceful tomorrow as it's weaning time, today the ewes are being separated from their lambs.

Hope you all have had a great day, mine is getting better, the Mike痴 hard lemonade should help.
Hard lemonade" is a new one on me, I had to lie about my age on Mike's web site to find out more. Alcoholic lemonade ! If it was lemonade mixed with beer we'd call that a shandy, but then there couldn't be much lemonade in the mix to get to 5% proof like Mike's, so I guess that's made with spirits.

In the UK the generic term for sweet alcoholic drinks is "alcopops". Randy, you're an alcopop swigging toppop :)

Good morning all, 57 going to 82 with some patchy am fog. Going to have a high of 87 where I am going. I love living on this side of the mountains. Was going to get up later and just go but woke up at 3:45 and am having my usual morning, just sooner.

Eric, Alcopop, sounds like an alcoholic lolly. We would call them suckers with liquor in them. :)

Have a great day, prayers sent. Ed

68 outside this AM. Heading to mid 80's. Should be dry for the next few days with chances of storms. Heard last night only 9 days out of the last 30 have been dry. Also the area leads the nation in flash flood watches and flooding since July.

Will work on run in today and next few days.
Have a good day all. Be safe

I'll hold that thought.

Good Morning!
Our air outside is still warmer than inside, so if I did that the birds outside would say that about the "cool air squeezing itself through the slightly open window".
76˚ heading to the high nineties, hit 102˚ yesterday but I was cool doing run around stuff for Mom. Sunday was the one day of rain since June. The neighborhood recycles it's water to irrigate the common area. Whenever we see sprinklers going we say there's poo poo water. It's treated so there is no smell but I don't have the inclination to run through the sprinklers. (being recycled water also allows the sprinklers to be exempt from the water restrictions of the city)

Tonight is the neighborhood cappella concert, it will be interesting, there is a lot of talent in the hood.

Ed's on the road heading to Latheville, and Farmer is figuring out the logistics of trailer pulling on his new truck. Good luck guys.

woke up with wrists screaming from mowing for five hours yesterday. I keep thinking, little bit more..., when I should come in and leave the other half for the next day.
Which normally would be a sensible plan, but not the current mowing between thunderstorms reality.

same ones would complain about higher pricing to achieve the goal of a better paint job
Buppies, good point. You don't expect Harbor Freight equipment to be beautifully powdercoated.
But when I spend 1-2 grand extra on a top name brand like Kansas made Land Pride, watching that yellow paint sheet off in foot long sections (hitch assembly, not mower deck btw) is really disappointing. And of course dealers are quick to hand you a can of conciliatory spray touch up paint.
Even a bush league painter like myself can put paint on that sticks for more than a year... but then I bet those implement makers don't clean the metal twice, first with paint thinner and then with alcohol, then a coat of etching primer, then two top coats. Try and peel that off...
Actually I'm sure the big guys have state of the art painting equipment but if you don't prep adequately, all the post painting QC is useless, all looks shiny and nice.
But in insurance we call this problem an "inherent defect". Doomed from the beginning.

72 going up to high 80's, looks like some slow drying, more showers this afternoon, maybe, and then drier for next two days.

Headed to Ram dealer to get state inspection, maybe they can reflash my truck with the current recall, cruise control problems, sticking on (not good...).
Three year old truck is still so satisfying I just smile at the salesmen in the dealership, no I don't need a new one. Truck only has 24k miles on it. Am going to pay one of my
hispanic helpers, who all claim to do powerwashing, truck waxing, you name it, on the side, to wax the truck since it sits out in the sun all the time.

Will watch the forecast and if it looks like rain will hold off, will spray the orchards today. Otherwise tomorrow.
Hope you all have a nice day.
