Drinking first cup of coffee. 62° with mostly clear skies this morning. Heading to 84° with sunny skies. There was more to yesterday than weed killing. My wife whose neurological condition continues to progress. Has been making new drapes to go along with the Kitchen Island we are going to install. Great reward for her and me to see them completed. Except for some little adjustments. There are 4 windows like this in Kitchen/Dining area.

Got a text from oldest Son last night. He made it home (Charlotte, NC) from his weekly trip to LA and back without problems. Lots of rain at home. But no damage. Lake Norman is at full levels.

Those in the way of what's left of Flo. Stay safe. Special prayers sent.

Drew, glad you only have clean up and no major damage.

Prayers for those in need.

Good Morning All.

It is a pace has an L

I meant eighth digit is 9 on pace car. Sounds like it’s the real deal, just an L-48. Many dealers stuck L-82 badges in just as many put TA 6.6 on standard engine Trans Ams.

Thanks for the info Toppop, looks like there will be a little price drop or he will be putting in back in storage.
Happy Birthday Ed enjoy your day.
Ron nice curtains your wife made, my wife has MS so I know how a neurological condition can mess with someone. But she still has several projects going at a time. Presently redoing an old steamer trunk.
Drew slow and easy it will get done sounds like you were prepared.
Time for second coffee and dog needs to play

63 outside this AM, heading to higher 60's. Grey and damp outside. Rain expected again today.

Happy b-day Ed! September is a month for the best of us!

More run-in work today. Wife is heading out today to meet her parents down the road. So I get to work on all the stuff that makes her uncomfortable. High stuff on ladders and roofs. LOL. Managed to get 1/3 of the roof on yesterday. Thank goodness for the clouds. That galvum sure is bright. I think I picked up cloud burn on my arms. Sweat (water) probably helped magnify the change in my skin color too. LOL.

Off to finish it off!

Hope all have a great day. Be safe. Prayers to all, especially directed to our NC friends.

2 hours of raking, started before sun was up, definitely a red sky take warn morning, though it started to clear.
Drizzling pretty constantly but I was working under trees so no problem. Too much standing on hard surface though, legs will be having a
conversation with me about that later.
Amount left to go depressing. Helper thinks he can come on Tuesday. Leaving the worst for him.

I raked from the left to the right this morning. If it get energized, which I will, now to rake from woods to pile. Then helper
I hope will pick up all piles.

The last storm this happened, I think two years ago, I had a teenage helper. He worked all day with me picking up piles I had raked, and never came back. Job was too hard. I think this happened to my allegedly number one Hispanic helper, one full day here and he wanted to go back to powerwashing. Easier and make more money. If you have the work, which they all do now. So I only have number two helper who has little available time.
So...pacing myself.

Fireman neighbor came home for one night last night, headed back this morning for three more days.
258 people pulled out of water, police station wrecked and moved to airport, basically down town is a mess.
I wonder if my insurance agent took water on the first floor. All those file cabinets...
but the City is recovering, not like what is happening elsewhere.
Everything I keep reading about inland is the worst is yet to come.

Do take it easy, Drew...you're not as young as you think you are and you're at the age where your heart may protest.

The picture on the left...is that your driveway?
