10 inches of rain in last two days, just emptied glass gauge for second time.
Light rain out, got the front porch powerwashed until the powerwasher broke, fitting sheared off and not a plastic one
this time. Not like brass is that strong a metal...

picked a little okra, doesn't grow well without sun, and sure hasn't been much of that lately.
found two more sweet potatoes, production is not worth the effort.

Thanks for the birthday wishes guys, Got a few machine shop books and a 750 drill doctor, pleased with both. Got to watch the boy eat a piece of cake, He does not get much sweet because of bowl problems but a boy has to have cake every now and then.

Good evening all. yesterday 72F for the start, overcast with cloud to cloud lightening, calm wind. Light wind day, partial clearing late morning, intermittent showers in afternoon, high about 86F. drove to Greenville for 60 mile bike ride, headwind most of the day. Got some BBQ for lunch, then headed home. Today choir sang at chapel, then made wife breakfast. Stepdaughter came over for for a while, then wife and I napped and took it easy.

Drew, good to hear you suffered no more damage than you did, as others are saying, don't over do the clean up.

A drop of unexpected rain this morning, however instead of getting cooler it's actually a good few degrees warmer than yesterday, thanks to Hurricane Helene pushing some warmer air up from the tropics. Fortunately she is tired after crossing the Atlantic and the wind is down to 55-65 mph as she approaches Ireland.

Ron, it must have been quite an effort for your wife to keep going and complete the curtains to that standard. She has the admiration of us all.

Good morning all, 69 going to 75 with a 100% chance of heavy rain. Got 3/4" last night and the are calling for up to about 3 more so we should not be much more than bothered by the wet. Need to run some errands this morning and could get wet, not going on any low roads so I should be fine.

Buppies, Glad all is Ok with you, stay dry. He will be excited about eating that piece of cake for a week or more.

good morning all. Warm damp morning, 77 going to mid 80's, last remnant of storm might give us one last shot
of rain.
Need to pick okra this morning, then deliver veggies to food bank, pleased I actually had something to take them after the storm, all food banks are likely picked clean right now. Will be interesting to see if any food on the shelves when I go in with my little one gallon baggies of organic veggies.
Peppers, okra and cucumbers.

Dryer weather coming, good thing. Hope to get my driveway sealed during next warm dry period, assuming I can get some help.

For some reason yesterday it took whole of effort just to putter. :confused3:
After work might trim front field depends on temp and humidity.
Leaves are changing colors in wet areas,mountains leaves have tint...already half way thru Sept.
E muffin feed the little ones slow roll to work.
