Good morning all, 29 going to 51 and partly sunny. Got up at 2:30 with a head ache and have been watching Utube. Will need a nap today for sure. Better now and having a good time watching Mark Lowry interview people. Hope to take it easy today.

Prayers sent, have a great day Ed

29 going to 55. Frosty outside.

Glad power is back on and no broken bones from the "fall gang." I had a close call, but stayed upright.

Kyle, nice father/daughter story. Sounds like a future engineer/scientist.

Had a good wildlife day yesterday. Met my son in southeast Virginia and hunted on opening day of shotgun season. Saw 4 bucks (smaller than what we shoot, but 2 were 8 pointers) a few does, a gray fox, a pileated woodpecker, 3 turkeys that walked up then flew up into a tree nearby to roost, and a barred owl flew up and landed 20 yards from my tree. Amazing watching them turn their heads so far around with no lower body movement. Almost forgot, I almost stepped on a skunk walking in in the dark. Got about 5 steps from it and it raised its tail and ran off.

48 going to 77. In FL sometimes it cannot decide if it wants to be cool or warm. Today our church is having it 's Thanksgiving meal looking forward to the food and fellowship, some really good cooks. Our church is 167 years old. Hope all have a great day, stay safe and warm.

28 and heavy frost, going to 54 later. Ellen told me it was take a friend to church day but they were all busy so she’s taking me! LOL
I haven’t seen a skunk on the property in a couple of years, but I do smell one now and then. No turkeys nesting in my woods lately either. Only one groundhog this year and she burrowed under my smaller garage, Ellen put some kind of oil on a rag and stuffed it in the hole and we never saw it again. I still have to fill the hole.
Gotta get moving, grocery pickup and breakfast before church. Have a good one, God bless.

Poured first cup of coffee. 31° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 37° with slight chance of snow in AM. No real plans today. Watch last NASCAR race of the year in afternoon.
Couple of notes on falling. Harvey brought up a good thing. Cleats on slippers. Never heard about those before. But I have a pair of Sloggers that I slip on to make quick trips to shop or barn. But they have been around for awhile. Tread is almost worn off. They went in the trash yesterday. Got new pair out of closet. They stick to the snow. Wear proper footwear when it may be slippery out.

Ed and Buppies, glad you got power back on.

Kyle, good story about daughter and race car. Got any pictures?

Gaproperty, what is sign going to say? Does your looking like new tractor really have 2000 hours.

RNG, hope you get home soon.

Ed, good youTube selection on a Sunday morning.

Wngsprd, never get to see Owls here. Maybe I am looking in the wrong place.

Prayers for all.

Good Morning All.

Glad for you guys to get your power back on.

Ron, need some stainless steel cleats. And hope your shoulder gets better day by day.

Stepp, were the roads just clogged with wrecks? I'm glad we don't have to deal with ice/snow too often down here. 4 hours is a lot of time to waste. Glad your wifey packed you a goody basket.

wng, that skunk woulda spoiled what was a great day. Glad you didn't get his shotgun blast! I really enjoy watching pileated woodpeckers. They are some beautiful birds IMO.

Eric, hoping they don't hire lawyers. I was thinking of buying some more mason jar lids and axles and sending them to the kid. They are going to display the balloon car in the library for a few days.

Speaking of mason jars, I do still have about 6 quarts of frozen dewberries in the freezer. Might have to make a cobbler for Thanksgiving. Our family makes a dessert in lieu of pumpkin pie. It is called pumpkin crunch. (Don, skip the rest of this paragraph here.) Basically you put a big can of pumpkin filling mixed with some evaporated milk as a base layer in a cake pan. Then you sprinkle a yellow cake mix over it with a stick of salted butter. Next is a layer of pecans on top. Then you cook it in the oven for over an hour. My wifey just watches until the pecans are a nice roasted color to pull it out of the oven. At least an hour or more....

I'm glad I got about 6 acres worth of weeds mowed yesterday. It just rained again, maybe an inch, and we are already soaked.

Pray for some rains in California. And prayers for hoping the displaced people on the list are alive and OK. There will be nothing left to burn in Paradise for years and years. So sad about all those deceased people. I see the videos of those homes just burnt to the ground, row after row, street after street. I know this will have a lasting effect on my mind for keeping the yard and fields mowed around my home to limit the chance of a grass fire hazard. But once a fire gets so huge and out of control, it takes on a whole different proportion of extremeness. Lightning cracking from the dust and dust devils, localized winds getting whipped up to storm levels, fueling and pushing the fire across 12 lane freeways. Just horrible. Wonder if there is a low cost way to promote pine needles into composting faster? The fire in Bastrop often went just through the treetops in many places, leaving the ground sometimes unscathed until the embers fell into the pine needles, setting off ground fires.

Drew, we need some big tractor action pictures!

Prayers for a blessed day all. That your aches and pains subside. And for your children and spouses to be lifted up and have a great day.

Thank you.

And OH NO, about the pending weather. It was middle December last year that we got our 4-6"( rare as hen's teeth) snowfall.
