Bill- Nothing is wrong with cut & paste. I will C&P from weather sites for the same reason. Until now I used Weather Information - Environment Canada. I like the link you referenced.

I think that we are all in for an "interesting" Winter and Spring weather-wise.

My driveway is actually in really decent shape right now thanks to all the rain and box scraper.

PJ, you are paying what the big farmers pay here, wholesale, for propane. That's a really good deal.
Perhaps with the drop in crude prices the cost of propane is coming down also.

There is plenty propane from the shale wells in OH, PA, WV. It should be cheaper than dirt..

Productive day. Pellet stove cleaned out, glass cleaned, stocked 14 bag pellets to the porch box, trimmed a tree, picked up limbs, fixed one downspout drains, cleaned some in basement, some more genealogy work, wife made sugar cookies and fudge..

The Marcellus Formation brought my hometown Williamsport, PA back from a dying city which had been dying since it lost its title of "Lumber Capitol of the World" in the 1800's after depleting central PA of all its old growth hardwood forests, did not replant anything, and moved on to the hardwood territories in the northern tier states. I hope this windfall is managed more wisely this time around. The forests have grown back where allowed. To see those gas farms next to pristine trout streams is cause for concern. NYS has not followed PA's acceptance and development of this resource.

I cleaned my wood stove's front pane today as well with the stove's wood ashes/water paste and scrub until the thumbs start complaining. Then I wipe it down with soap and water and then wipe it down with a wet paper towel. I have yet to find a cleaner that works as well. If anyone knows of a cleaner my thumbs would appreciate it. Frequent cleanings and burning relatively hot seem to minimize the tar buildup. It looks like for the short term I will be using it daily.

8 gallons of coffee acid stain sprayed and brushed
Need to let set 4-6 hours before neutralizing, but as this is not new concrete I think I’ll let it go overnight before hitting it with baking soda wash, then it will have to dry before sealing.

The 2 gallon $20 Deck sprayer did an awesome job and cleaned up well. Have 12 gallons of Turquoise acid stain coming in for around the pool. Hopefully we arrive by end of week.

Thomas- This early morning's warm temperatures were a surprise. Every time I go out and about around here I find more downed trees and tree limbs, and with the melting snowpack lots of leaves and "other stuff" which I try not to step in.

Indeed it was pleasant welcome 49F when I step outside and putter with just sweatshirt 2nd day of winter. :cool2:

Good day today...quick trip town than rake picking up large branch/limbs for 4 hours,figuring about 3 more hours Sunday another mess check off the list.
Mrs. has spare ribs cooking :licking: sooo I gotta scoot and find my bib.
Looks like Army going to teach Houston lesson.

I wore my Cardhartt hoodie underneath a highly visible GorTex outer shell due to the wind, precipitation, and Ya Hoo "hunters" around here. Hunting is supposedly illegal on Sundays; from the sounds of things some "hunters" are ill informed around here. For better or worse MA is a shotgun only state. Brogen would dress out ~ 90#'s lean; I would ~ 120#'s well marbled.

Nice day today. Filled up at $1.82 /gallon for regular. New Wawa opened up in town...all the gas stations lowered prices...plus, I guess prices are down overall .

Jay - I clean my stove's front glass the same way, but haven't tried adding the soap and water step...and have also noticed that greener wood deposits more tar, especially overnight. I let my stove go out yesterday since it was so warm...will restart tomorrow.

L4, nice job on driveway.
