Good evening all. 61F this morning, trace of rain, overcast light wind. Wind 10-15 occ. gust 18, sky cleared off to partly cloudy, high temp 70F. Choir practice resumed this morning, have only 2 rehearsals to work on music because of layoff . Did get lights down and put away, had to change bikes due to flat, bike ride today, and trip to stepdaughters to finish some loose ends for her. And dog sitting again this week.

Good morning! 62 ˚F heading to 75 ˚F partly cloudy.

Since the rest of the week we will be having good weather, 40s-60s, The trail boss has called for a 5 days of work this week on the section of trails we are clearing. We will try to be finished the same time the new Amenity center opens in February (where the trail head starts) so we will have a lot of ribbon cuttings at the completion of limb cuttings.

But first, with the other club, an important meeting at high noon with the SIG (special interest group) that has the keys to the tractor.

Planing a work day at mom's in-between club duties and also putting in a stairs and flooring in my attic. Busy week, might turn into a busy month.

I'm having very quick recovery from the rock and stump removal, can't say for sure if it's the plant based diet but it seems to be working for me.

The person that had to be air lifted near my Aunt's place on new years eve was lucky that his nurse daughter was there to give him CPR, even though he had the paddles twice and was put in an induced "cold" coma he was responding to verbal commands. (he's my age)

Terrible news about your neighbour. Was he under a lot of stress?

Here is Eastern Canada the h1n1 flue is on the go. 6 people died in NewBrunswick and I know several people who has been flat out in bed for a week. Get well soon.

Since it is 50 minutes after midnight I guess I qualify for a good morning posting. According to the forecast, I will be going out early Wednesday morning to blow 6 inches of snow off 12 driveways before it turns to rain. I will start my run around 6:00 a.m. thus it will be dark. Sunrise doesn't emerge over the mountain until about 7:45 a.m. I am glad I changed out one work lamp to LED on the back of the cab and fixed the front work lamps on the front of the cab. Man these LED'S are bight so if I get a break in the weather I will be changing all work lamps to led plus I bought a bar. Wicket lighting.

Good morning, although it's windy, there is not so much cloud this morning, which is just as well as the 2 solar panels I have for keeping batteries topped up on the Fergie and the old Subaru have for the last few weeks been producing less electricity than the charge regulator consumes.

One way or another it will a cracking day as I need some more kindling and the paint I slapped on this cracker should now be dry enough for me to use it.

David/Sodamo, your drone pic is very cool. That is a lot of concrete...sure came out nicely. You've really been working hard on your place.

When my 100 HP New Holland was about 3 months old. I hit an antler, in one of our pastures, and it punctured the sidewall on front tire. Unrepairable. Replacement was $1,025.00. Ouch!!!

Need to pour first cup of coffee. 37° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 45° with afternoon rain. When I got up to P at 1am. Temperature was 51°. Got .06 rain. Looks like today will be last day with 40° temperatures for awhile. Temperatures will still average above normal a few degrees for this time of year. Finished my router guide project yesterday. Last camera showed up yesterday. Plan is to get it installed and programed today. No other plans for the day.

Drew, make sure you are taking in enough liquids. Get well soon.

We got about 6" out of that. I wonder how big the drifts are going to be.
I will be out plowing this fine frosty morning.

Drew, like everybody else has been saying; lots of chicken soup and lot of liquids.
No 7 & 7 does not qualify. Nor does lots of beer, even if it is mostly water.

45 degrees going for a high of 62 today, but yesterday was unreal with 62 degrees for a LOW that went to 72, clear and sunny. I've had a couple of tough days, especially day before yesterday (Sunday). I was having almost continuous severe muscle spasms I guess under my left shoulder blade and up to my neck. My wife wanted me to go to an emergency room Sunday and wanted me to go to a doctor yesterday, but it was better yesterday, and even a little bit better this morning. Nothing serious, I reckon, but it sure can be painful.

I notice a lot of comments about tinnitus recently. If you can prevent or cure it, I'd sure recommend it. Back about 1986 (plus or minus a year), I went to see a specialist about the constant ringing in my ears. I'd never heard of "tinnitus" until that day. That doctor said, "I can tell you've had exceptionally good hearing in the past, don't need hearing aids right now, but you will eventually." Sure enough, I got my first two hearing aids more than 20 years ago, have gradually gotten more powerful ones, and am now nearly deaf without them.

Eric, I like your cracker. Never heard of one before, but think I can figure out how to use it.

I was working on my firewood yesterday when a sharp-shinned hawk flew up and chased a sparrow under and over and around the grape vine arbor twice before making a last effort and landing on the ground near me. That hawk seems to be visiting our bird feeding area everyday now and sometimes land on a low tree branch near the house.

Another bird story...have you ever had one of those million bird trains of blackbirds fly over, or land on your property? I was out at daybreak and heard them coming...some started to land at the top of a nearby tall black cherry tree, and I remembered I had one of those LED flashlights in my pocket...I set it on strobe and the birds took off and no more landed...not sure if I have found my cure for them, but I'll try again if they come back.
