57° and partly cloudy this morning. Forecast says we'll see 73° this afternoon.

It misted / drizzled rain most of the day yesterday so after getting 2 sets of gloves wet I gave up and worked in the shop for balance of the day.

Our previous, forecast for below freezing temperatures for this coming Sunday and Monday has, over last two days been revised to not even get to freezing either day. I'm good with that!

I did get around to some shop pics, of new lights, last evening.

Can't begin to tell you how great it is to have proper light in the shop. I still have to get everything back in place.

I hope everyone has an excellent Friday Eve!

Prayers to all.

I'm going to make one out of 6" pcv

That model work well if weather elements don't get inside pipe to freeze or turn food to mush at bottom...better make half dozen plus. ;)

Good morning! 55 ˚F heading to a balmy 71 ˚F. Cloudy.

Yesterday was misting all day and outdoor activities were canceled. I'm in pain between each word (space bar) because the hammer became acquainted with my thumb during the pull down stairs trim installation yesterday.

I use a air finish nailer for all trim and most other things that need to be nailed. I have enough dry wall type screws to last a couple of lifetimes. They work good. But finish nails look better on trim.

That's great news, Rick. Thanks for sharing the photos. Looks like going to those LEDs was one of your brighter ideas!

A freak break with one of my ice creepers last night resulted in a fall on the ice that necessitated a trip to the ER this morning. My rebuilt knee will need additional work as I now have a displaced, fractured patella. I may also have messed up my ACL's and MCL's as well. I need to see an orthopedist and get a MRI/CAT scan to find out about the ligaments. My knee is now immobilized. I do not think I'll be sitting on my tractor anytime soon or walking the dog. I am not a happy camper at the moment.

I could use a few + thoughts, wishes, and prayers at this point myself.

OH NO, JAY!!! Definitely extra + thoughts will be continuously sent! I'm truly saddened to hear this news. Just because a couple of us here are dealing with knee problems, doesn't mean you had to join in!

going since 8am, glad to come in and sit, carpenters left, garden shed all insulated, we all itch of fiberglass insulation.
Newer stuff is plastic encased but I'm using up a lot of left over insulation from another project.
Building immediately got warmer. Job bothered one of the carpenters who wants everything perfect. I reminded him this is a garden shed, not my garage, which they will work on next. Yes, a finished ceiling or some barrier would help. Thankfully now with the heated greenhouse, I don't have to keep much heat in the garden shed except when I'm in there, and oversized heater will warm things up quickly now. Particularly since the heat is not going right out the roof. I could see the heat shimmering off the roof this morning. Not any more I hope.

I'm starting to itch, time to get in a shower.
Will head back out in a little while and take some pics.

Jay, that's awful, so sorry. Mend quickly. Medicate well.

Rick, your place looks great, wish I had that much sheltered storage.

Ted, we tried to fit some R30 along the ridgeline but missed by an inch, R13 it shall be.
Windows are terrible anyway, single pane jalouseys. Now the door I did work on, including a
new weatherstripping kit for it. Now I can see very little daylight outside, big change from before.
The door is an inherited mess, an undersized rv door
but at least it's insulated internally.

Actually I need a little fresh air in there, maybe opening one little window on each end because despite it stating that heater is safe for
human areas, products of combustion are never good to breathe. Dilution is the solution.

Wow, Rick, the shop looks great. Nice job with the lighting.

Wow, Jay ... not a good way to treat a knee. Hope your docs can get it repaired for you.
