7F this morning. Supposed to warm into the 30’s later today with some rain then snow. Mid-week into Friday looks to be a bit chilly around here. Better make sure there is plenty of wood close to the house to keep the woodburner fed.

Had a good trip. Good to see friends you rarely get to see. Found one treasure in the swap meet and it followed me home,

Well, time for another cup of coffee and get my mind in gear for today.

RNG, I've had good experience with the 2-packs of blue/brown tarps at Costco...thick but I forget how many mil. I just looked and didn't see them on their website, but they have always been in stock in our local store...and if I recall correctly, you are a member. I've used clover seed that was that old and had acceptable germination.

Thanks for asking about my head...the feeling came back yesterday afternoon, so I definitely know the staples are there...have to wait 10 days to get them out...still no shower or getting it wet. Need some groceries, but my head still looks like The Walking Dead with blood dried and matted all down on my hair...will try to clean it up and wear a cap I rigged up yesterday that covers everything and doesn't press down on it.

I was finishing the farm's taxes yesterday and got to near the end and Turbo Tax said all the IRS info is not in yet, so must wait until Feb 1. Took a nice long hike to get my exercise and roasted some coffee.

42 going up to 48 today in clouds and sun.
Morning is shot going to doc appts, first dermatology, then podiatrist.
Decided to hold off on getting a boot on my foot to see if time will help with plantar fasciitis.

This afternoon will get nice and muddy shoveling dirt, fixing that electrical ditch. Time to get the tractor out.
Then drop the bucket and put the grapple on and tomorrow I have a large downed tree to cut up.

Went down to TSC yesterday afternoon, bought four o rings, one to replace the one on the Echo chain saw oil cap.
Last time it was used bar oil ran all down helper's pants. Try and get that out...

Echo wants 7 dollars for an o ring. I got four for 2.49. :thumbsup:

A note on O-rings, don’t get them from HF! I bought a box from there a couple of years back and almost none fit anything and the ones that do pinch and tear easily, no matter the lube you use.

Good morning! 45˚F heading to 69˚F. With woods to make trails in and a tractor to drive and garden to tend there is not much to miss about leaving the country. All the right groups/clubs are here, just finding them and finding the time to do them all is the challenge. And I really do not miss picking up beer cans along the front of my property. Should receive a text later this morning on which trail we will tackle this afternoon.

28 outside. I started the morning routine late, and well, I quit. Time for a change up in patterns. Just kind of dragging this AM. Grabbed another coffee and hope it warms up a little. Weather people are freaking out about the polar vortex coming.

I managed to fix some bird feeders yesterday and power wash some equipment. And on the way to the house, took note of the daffodils making their appearance. Poor things are in for some bad news starting tomorrow.
