A lot of good suggestions. The only one I am not going to use is the one suggested by my wife. Even when I have to water the garden beds while they are gone I refused to be called their Bedwetter!

The Garden Tender

A bit sore after chainsawing about 200 limbs this morning trail blazing and pickle ball in the afternoon. Couldn’t squeeze in time for the garden today, kind of misty all day. Ended the day with a pet club meeting.

Just found this article on PG&E, our local energy utility, on the Chico newspaper web site. The short version is PG&E was found to have violated their probation from the San Bruno, CA gas line explosion, and is now subject to a whole slew of new restrictions and over sites. The judge also spent three hours chewing them out:

“Does a judge turn a blind eye and let PG& E continue what you’re doing, let you keep killing people?” U.S. District Judge William Alsup said inside the San Francisco courtroom. “Can’t we have electricity that is delivered safely in this state?”

PG&E ousted the then current CEO a few weeks ago, infuriating customers by awarding her a multi-million dollar golden parachute. And yesterday they filed for bankruptcy. I'm hoping they're taken over by the state, and become a true public utility. Even the gubmint couldn't do any worse.

Still in the freezer here in Michigan. -3 that’s too cold. Had a good day today, ran a couple of errands, ordered some parts for my water softener. I’m putting new resin in mine. It was cheaper to buy it online, one local company refused to sell it to me, they only want to sell and service. No home gamers allowed. Another place wanted almost double for the stuff. They weren’t interested. The 3rd never returned my call. So off to Amazon I went, 2 day free shipping included. I am interested in the ductwork project on Ron’s. I might go that route also.
