Good morning all. Warm out, 51 going to 78 today, which means low 80's likely. Then Monday morning it cools off again.
Headed out this morning to plant some extra zinnias and snapdragons I have grown, at a friend's home, then back to work with helper on a number of projects. One lawn to mow, out by the road where the weeds are really coming up.

The guy I hired to do my weedeating pulled this third weekly no show, never called, didn't return my messages, for sure he was never serious about working here. Local landscaping firm too, wonder why, was a 5k contract and I guess too small for him. I find the locals to be very poor businessmen, bad on basics like returning calls, being dependable. Am finding I sure can't apply the work habits I built over 40 years of business to the local tradesmen, makes me just shake my head. I'll be calling other companies later today.

Good news Roy, hope your wife feels much better.

26 and going to a high of 36 °F. Wind SSE 6 mph. Snow in the forecast or today, tonight and tomorrow.
A couple of inches at least.

I was going to take the BB off and put the BH on this weekend. Not now. That will wait until the weekend after I go 'down south'.

I've got a town run to do today as well as the dump. I will also see buddy about my new rims. I can get 4 from him for $800.oo or I can pay Chrysler-Fiat $700.oo for 1. 700 bux is a crazy-stupid price to pay for one 19" rim. for a car.

Have a good day all

Poured second cup of coffee. 36° with rain this morning. Heading to 41° with rain all day. .50 rain already. Got pond nets off yesterday. Saw 1 fish swimming around. Not gold, black. Wonder where that came from. No real plans today. Duct sealing company called yesterday. Coming out Monday morning.

My good friend from Windsor Canada had a stroke earlier this week. Cannot speak or use right hand. Got moved to rehab yesterday. He sure could use some prayers.

Roy, good new about Suzette. Best wishes for continued recovery.

Randy, Happy Birthday wishes for your daughter.

Drew, 5k contract? Did you read the fine print. Maybe he does not start until us guys up north need our lawns trimmed. :D

I missed the salute to our Vietnam Veterans yesterday. Thanks for your service. :drink:

RNG, I like the tribute get togethers for passed friends/relatives. So much to remember and share. Still sad. May your friend RIP.

Prayers for all.

Good Morning All.

Although I wrote (this morning) I don't have any chores today, I am going to have to roll the edges of the drive soon.
I had neglected to put down the driveway markers before the first snow of the winter, so guessed where the edges of the drives was...and, guessed wrong quite a bit. The snow blower didn't do much damage, but the blade (with skid shoes) sure did! As the ground thawed the last few weeks, there was more damage, so that's going to be a chore in the next few weeks, as more snow melts. Still quite a bit of snow on the lawn...
A couple years ago (before I got driveway markers), I used the tractor's rear tires to compact the dirt I'd upset. I think I'm going to do the same this year, along with a roller to finish up the job...anybody got better suggestions (besides "Don't forget to use driveway markers!")?
