I cannot hear the warning beeps of the new safety devices too high of a frequency. I wish the tone could be changed. I bet RNG could do it.

Count your blessings, Don. The last Toyota I had, I disassembled the dash to get to the buzzer and put a screw through it to disable it.

It's 35° this morning and cloudy. Yesterday was in the high 30's with snow showers in the afternoon. Today is going to be overcast this morning and maybe some sun by the afternoon. With a high in the the low 40's and the wind 10-20 mph.

Not sure what I'll be doing today.

Jay ... I missed it yesterday, Happy Birthday.

Hope everyone has nice day.
CWB.

55°F this morning and overcast. It was 35°F yesterday morning. Forecast says 71°F for this afternoon with rain expected late afternoon and thru the night.

We're to a point now that some rain would be welcome. After their very wet fall and winter, March was a pretty dry month. It would be nice to get back to more "normal" rainfall, whatever that is?

Did my good deed of the month yesterday. I used the 100 HP New Holland and Bush Hog to mow several neighbor's ditches yesterday. They hadn't been mowed since last spring ..... by me.

As expected "no good deed .... shall remain unpunished .... for very long". One of the neighbor ladies sent me a nasty email claiming her car got "filthy" from "having to drive" thru my "huge dust cloud". I waited an hour to respond and asked her if I also deposited all the green / yellow tree pollen on her black SUV?

Guess whose ditch had grass / weeds 3' high? Guess whose ditch won't get mowed next time?

Waiting on HVAC guys to arrive to replace the evaporator core on one of our HVAC units. It has a slow slow leak.

After that ... more pasture cutting.

Everyone have an excellent "Hump Day".

Prayers to all.

Pantry cabinet back functional - FINALLY!!!!

As previously noted, the earlier hardware was inadequate. First attempt to replace was a bust, beefing them up didn’t make them work any better, actually started finding loose ball bearing on floor Sat.
So I figured a way to use side mount sliders attached to 1 1/2x 1/8 aluminum angle fastened to the top of the cabinet. BTW, overlook the random markings and extra holes in angle. This is its 4th tour of duty. Guess it’s in its permanent home now

Thought I took a pic of them installed, but guess not

So here is finished product:

Operation is smooth, no binding.

A cloudy 34ºF start to the day, a hazy 50ºF now, and I expect the temps to reach a windy mid50ºF's. The NWS has issued a Wind Advisory for this PM. Maybe some snow/rain showers tonight.

After they tree guys left I noticed that they pruned one of my pet Dogwood trees that received serious ice damage this Winter.

Thanks for the + thoughts and wishes. It was a good day and we had a great meal. I grilled asparagus instead of Wifey making the Caesar salad. I received quite a few calls from friends; it was great to get caught up. I also had a long talk with our friend who is undergoing serious chemo/radiation treatment for her breast CA and her husband. They'll be stopping by tomorrow after her chemo. I am a little more4 "fuzzy" this AM than my usual; probably due to all that consumed steak  Not much planned for today other than taking Brogen to the vet for his annual physical, shots, and a little 3:1 wrestling match for his pedicure.

Eric- I am happy that you and your Wife had a great vacation with your family in a beautiful place, and thank you for your pictures.

David- An amazing example of cabinetry work. Great job. Those slides are definitely HD. Thanks for sharing.

It took me 30 aggravating minutes to change Wifey's Forester's clock yesterday. :embarrassed:

I hope that everyone is having a decent day today.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

I think I will make that a priority item when choosing a new vehicle. The ease of changing time. I changed it on the Forester this years driving home from the store - an am still alive to talk about it.

Good morning! 55˚F heading to the high 60s cloudy 50% chance of rain. Looks like this is the coolest day for the next 10 days as the afternoon temps will be in the 80s.
Everyone in the wood shop wears an apron. I guess I'll find out why tomorrow when I finally have my first safety class.

Looked at the new 2019 Rav4 yesterday. I still can't figure out how they get the birds-eye-view to come up on the dash monitor. I think they send up a little drone. They also have an electronic rear view mirror from a second rear camera located higher than the back-up camera with magically appears in the rear view mirror giving a 180˚ view while driving OR backing up, or with the flip of the switch the rear view mirror turns into a regular mirror.

I cannot hear the warning beeps of the new safety devices too high of a frequency. I wish the tone could be changed. I bet RNG could do it.

Bells and whistles, got to love them!

The Costco auto program allows $1,200 of MSRP base plus 15% off extras no bickering/negotiation. I might go by another dealer to see if I can do better but they have so few on the lot probably now is not the time to buy.

That was the first deal that the dealer wanted to give me (CostCo deal).... I laughed... When I mentioned the 2 invoices they get (dealer retail invoice vs. dealer 'cost' invoice) plus the dealer holdback cost, we then started dealing on a different level. Final price was $500 BELOW dealer incoice, + 1/2 of dealer holdback (-$250), plus $2,000 more for my trade than initially offered. MSRP was $33,595, my final price was $28,265. Don't hesitate to "get up to walk away"...

Wow, I swear that I posted yesterday.... Apparently not....somehow lost a whole day....

So, with that being said, a lot of catching up to do...

Drew, that story was fantastic! As mentioned many times before, you are a very special person and now there is another special person to help you. I'm sure he was the best you have had in a while!

David, nice job on the cabinets. I had asked about the guides, your pics explained a lot of my questions. Now go play with the tractor....if you planned on a day, better change it to three!:confused2:

Jay, glad the tree project went smoothly....awaiting pics.

LFN, did you get the new wheels mounted? Need pics please.... Not too bad of a price for the work you had done.

Rick, I have almost given up on doing 'good deeds' for those that don't actually take part in doing the same. Seems like the ones that never lift a finger are always the first to complain.

I'm sure I missed some other things going on...that will teach me not to miss a day!

This morning I had to take the truck back to the dealer to have the spray-in bedliner done and the trailer tow package installed (included in the final deal process). I was finally getting used to all the gadgetry and buttons in the truck....now they gave me a top of the line loaner vehicle...10x more buttons/functions.... I still can't find the "auto drive" function button though....

Hope everyone has a great humpday! Prayer out for those needing
