Drew - hope the extra insurance you are paying out is a total waste of money for many years to come

you bet, best insurance is the one you don't have to use. But being single, having that insurance means I'll never be a burden to siblings
later on in life, never have to move in with them...

good morning all, need to get moving, off to ENT for hopefully some decent news.

Watching the Battle of Normandy/D-Day ceremonies right now...what an important part of world history...so many sacrificed for us.

71 cloudy going to 88. Storms split and left us in a dry windy gap yesterday...maybe rain today through Monday.

Shoveled my "volcano" of stove ashes into the FEL bucket and applied to one of my food plots with the least organic matter. Also shoveled up a mound of dirt left behind from last summer's French drain project...had not wanted to drive the tractor in that area due to ground softness...plenty dry now.

Prayers for those sick in our "family."

Drinking first cup of coffee. 56° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 75° with mostly cloudy skies. Managed to get most of the shopping list done yesterday. Wife told me I forgot a couple of things on list. What list? This one that I forgot to take. :confused3: Got hammer blades on flail mower. Going to do some weed pulling this morning. Then get fields cut in afternoon.

Special thanks to all that made D Day a success.

Bird, didn't you do air tool repair at one time? I have 2 impacts that have stopped working. Anything I should be looking for?

Drew, good luck at Dr appointment.

Mostly, 500 miles of bike riding in next week? I have not got my bike off rack yet.

Looking, safe driving this summer.

Lynn, more prayers for little girl.

Randy, hope rehab is going good.

Buckeye, keep doing your best at doing nothing.

Good Morning All.

Ron, that's kind of like having a car that won't start. Where do you begin? Maybe lack of proper lubrication (some people just lubricate it when they start to use it, but it's more important to lubricate it each time when you finish using it), dirt in through the air intake, rust internally, or even broken or badly worn vanes.

Good Morning. It's 72°F here and forecast says 89°F for high today. Thunderstorm passed thru from 4 a.m. until about 5:30 a.m. Radar indicates we've got more coming this morning.

The eastern sky is bright orange right now so, looks like we'll get a bit of sunshine before next round of rain.

As wet as it is, this will be a work in the shop day and I will go into town later to get horse feed.

Please take some today time to say a prayer for those that gave all, on the beaches of France, 75 years ago. They made a huge difference to the World.

Hope everyone has an excellent "Friday Eve" today.

Prayers to all.

Thanks. I have the lube done right. But air is what comes from compressor. Think I will be taking them apart to see what is wrong.

Good morning to all! Low of 52, going to 82. Maybe a slight shower / t-storm. Warmer tomorrow and Saturday, no storms until Sunday

Got .5" in the gauge after a storm yesterday afternoon. Grass / weeds are ready to be cut again, so that is on the agenda for today, probably continuing into tomorrow to finish up. At least the dust will be somewhat controlled.

Hope everyone has a great day! Prayers sent out.

It's 37° this morning. Yesterday was in the mid 70's and sunny. Today is going to be mostly sunny this morning with a chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. It looks it's going to cool off this weekend. They show a low of 30° for Sunny morning. Hope they are wrong.

Made it back to the house yesterday afternoon. We had a good time with the daughter and grandsons the last few days.

We need to make a trip in to town this morning. I have a few little things I would like to get done this afternoon.

Wishing everyone the best and grateful for the veterans past and present.
CWB.

I had my air impact stop working, rarely used it. I just bought a new on at harbor freight, still havent used it.

Good Morning!!!! 67F @ 6:00, AM. Plenty of sunshine. High 87F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.

Finished the work I'd planned on the tractor yesterday, and didn't notice any unusual noises when I moved it back to its usual parking spot. Unfortunately, I did notice two new oil leaks underneath while I was changing the engine oil. If one of them is what I think it is, it means splitting the tractor (again) to change the propeller shaft output seal on the transmission. Another nail in that tractor's coffin.

One more round of mowing for a few hours this morning, then another shot at cleaning the gutters. Hopefully the heat from the past few days has dried out the mud.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

66°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 86° today. Going to be cloudy all day, but they've removed any chance for rain.

We got a decent downpour late in the evening yesterday. Came with some lightning and thunder, but didn't last too long. Lost our satellite internet for most of the evening, though.

Wife's uncle had a problem a few years ago keeping weight on. VA doctors couldn't find anything wrong with him for a long time. Turned out to be cancer. They were able to beat it into remission last year, but apparently it came back with a vengance recently. He was back in the hospital earlier this week, and they determined there was nothing more they could do. He went back home on Tuesday, and died yesterday at 72.

Condolences to your wife, Paul. Someday...they will cure this horrible disease.
Have two close friends battling for their lives now, my age. One keeps me posted, I'm a good sounding board and we are all friends.
I told him to make sure he asked about proton beam therapy and he was super appreciative.

Back from ENT, putting me on steroids for a month, this time they write the scrip instead of my family doctor, and
higher dose niacin and diuretics. After that, they are referring me to UNC-Chapel Hill. Not sure if there is any differentiation in that town
between Duke's huge medical complex or UNC's, both of course teaching hospitals and very, very good.
Last time I was in Chapel Hill I was applying to Duke for college. Long time...
They say 90 percent of Meniere's reduces to a level you live without distraction.
I'm in the 10 percent apparently. Mine remains seriously distracting.

And the day gets better. Dermatologist's office is mobbed with patients, he's going on vacation Saturday for a week, and it's bedlam in there and
I'm asking to be squeezed in. you do see what I'm dealing with here don't you? She asked pleasantly. Yes Ma'am.
You get back in here at 1:40 pm precisely and we will do our best.
Yes.

now to go pick the tomatoes and cucumbers I promised her. Vegetable bribery. It's a crime. :D

68 degrees this morning, going for a high of 87 with a 50% chance of rain. The NWS is including that chance of rain every day, but the last measurable precipitation I got was 5 days ago. Anyway, the yard was in dire need of mowing, so even though it was damp with dew, I trimmed the shrubs, did the string trimming and edging, then mowed the whole yard in 2 hours (7 am. to 9 a.m.) and still no sign of rain around here, for which I am thankful.

What a day in history!! I stayed up and watched the Honors. To me, the numbers are staggering. Thank you, Greatest Generation.

70° and 35 inches rain.
Need to make a PO run. Continue clean up.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good morning all. 70F this morning, mostly sunny, calm wind. wind still light, mostly sunny rain forecasted for 4PM, high temp forecast is 83F. Trip gear is packed, and loaded in car with 1.5 hours to spare. For some reason, wife prefers me to kill time here, rather than Wichita :confused2: Will have some photos to post when back, probably won't post much while gone
RNG sorry to hear about your new leak, and have to split again.
Drew, hope the new procedure works, and new spot is nothing. Nice to hear garden stuff help bribe the medical profession. :drink:
Bird, did NOT know you should lube air tools when done :ashamed:
PJ condolences to your wife for the loss of her uncle
prayers for all.
